Hope you enjoy chapter 29.

"I'm not going anywhere." A familiar voice whispers.

I whip my head around to see Josh smiling at me.

"J-Josh." I say, more tears falling.

Before he was able to speak the doctor rushes in and tells me I have to leave his room for a bit.

*1 hour later*

"You can go see him now." The doctor finally tells me.

I walk to his room and take a deep breath.

Then I knock.

"Come in." I hear him say.

I open the door and a smile comes across his face.

"Brook." He says.

I lean down next to his bed.

Tears of joy start to fall.

"It's ok. I'm here."

"It's my fault you're here. That you almost died." I say.

"How?"

"If I didn't leave the house that night, I wouldn't have been caught again and again."

"No. It was my decision to drive drunk, Brook."

"But you were worried about me."

"Yes I was, but still. It was my decision to drive under the influence. All that matters is I'm here right?"

I nod.

He wipes away the tears on my face.

"It's ok, Brook."

"I know."

"I think I need to rest, as crazy as that sounds." Josh says.

"Ok I'll come back later." I say.

I kiss him on top of his head and walk out.

When I get to the waiting room, Levi and Sean are there.

I just stand there and cry.

Levi and Sean wrap their arms around me.

"I still think this is all my fault." I sob.

"No it's not, Brook." Levi says.

I pull away.

"I can't do this anymore." I say.

"Brook." Sean say.

I just walk out the hospital.

I'm fairly close to the hospital and that's when I'm pinned against a car.

"Hello, Brook." Tim smiles.

"No." I say, pushing him off.

I start to run, but that's when I trip.

Tom looms over me and grabs me by my shirt and lifts me up.

"Let me go." I say.

"I don't think so. I mean, you did kill Nate after all."

He slams me on the asphalt and pain shoots through me. I try to get up, but he punches me in the face.

Fighting is hopeless, but you can try.

I managed to get up and punch him the face, but it doesn't even do shit.

He smiles before punching me on the side of my face, hard.
