The cell.

Jessica sat in the cold dark cell cradling her stomach in her thin arms. She has sat in that cell since she was four months pregnant. For six long and dreadful months she had been reapeatedly beaten, starved and had had hundreds of experiments and drugs tested on her and her baby. The day that her son was born she didn't even get to tell him that she loved him. He was ripped from his mother's arms and taken straight to the lab to have more experiments done on him.

Jessica, of course, put up a fight but she was too weak and fragile from all the abuse and from being malnourished. The cell door slammed open. They stormed in, making her hold her baby even closer to her pounding heart. "Hand over the child!" one of the guards ordered. Jessica's heart shattered into a million peices at the thought of being without her son. "No!" she screamed as tears started to fall. His mother's scream caused the baby to wake up. He started to cry, this caused Jessica to sob even more. "I won't let you experiment on my baby. It's wrong!" She yelled as she turned towards the guard, now more then ever holding her screaming baby tighter in her arms. "We aren't asking. Now hand it over!" the guard ordered again, this time he lifted a gun and aimed it at Jessica's trembling body. "Please don't take him," she pleaded as she fell to the ground holding her new baby.

"He's too young.... at least give me a few years." Jessica was trying anything to protect her baby. The guard just looked at her with stone cold green eyes. "A few months at least... please I'm begging you." The baby wailed even louder- like it knew what was about to happen. She looked the guard in the eyes. The guard just looked back. Seconds seamed to drag on like hours. Jessica noticed that as her baby's screams became louder his eyes seamed to sofen. They almost looked.... sad. He hesitated and lowered the gun. The man looked at the cell door behind him. Standing in the doorway was at least half a dozen fully armoured guards.

Their faces looked like stone, as if they have never smiled a day in their lives. One of them motioned towards the prisoners. Anger entered his eyes. "Shoot her!" his voice was brittle, "what are you waiting for?" The green eyed guard shook his head and looked Jessica in her red eyes. "I'm so sorry," he mouthed. He forced himself to lift his gun to the broken woman on the floor. Jessica stopped herself from shedding anymore tears. Even though she was terrified at what was going to happen she tried to be strong. For her son. Jessica Evert gave her boy one last look. "My little Dean." she began, " I..." before she could finish a guard walked forward from the cell door. He fired a single bullet. Her body fell back. Her arms, even after death, stayed cradling her baby. Dean would never know what his mother was going to say, no one would. The guards then pulled a screaming Dean from his mother's limp arms. "You're lucky that I'm not going to tell Boss about this." The guard who shot Jessica said to Green eyes as he walked past him and out the cell. Dean will never feel his mother's embrace. He will never feel her touch or know her love again.

His mother was all he had left in this world. Without her, he is at the mercy of Globex. An non-governmental company that experiments on animals for as they would say "science". Martha Berk runs the company she is corrupt, insane and is hell bend on creating a new bread of soldiers. Soldiers that have animal DNA put into them. She believes that Dean is the key to creating her army, he is after all the only human to ever survive the trials.
