Victoria's p.o.v:

It's a funny that my life has changed so much.I never expected for it to change drastically.Even though no one thinks about me at least my papa,no cross that ,my father would at least care about me little.But no,He is the one who sold me to an arrogant man for a business deal.My life is never going to be the same.

I thought even if he doesn't pay attention to me,he would not mind me being in the mansion,I was very wrong.He cares only about his company and my step mom.

Let's talk about my step mom.I thought after my mother died,I would get a good mother who cares for me.But boy,I was very very wrong.I never expected her to be so cunning.She was working for my father as a personal assistant but everything changed after my mother died.

I think my papa died along with my mother the day she died.My papa was a really good man,but now he is a monster.I never thought he would slap me for not accepting the marriage proposal.

He said the guy would kill me if I didn't accept the marriage. And let's say I was ready to die.But he said that he has already made the deal and if I didn't accept it my father would also die.

I cannot let my papa die.I love my papa but...

I had to accept it,Right?

So,here I am Victoria Harlow ,getting dressed for my engagement party.I am 19 years old,going to med college.I don't know what i am going to do about it.I have to ask the guy who I am going to get married about this.

People say that I am greedy,selfish etc.But I don't care about people thinking about me.I am who I am and I know about my self.I don't have friends.I am not allowed to go out other than school and high school.

Today is the day I get to meet him. I still don't know his name.

"Are you paying attention Victoria?"

That's when I came to my sense."y-yeah,s-sorry I zoned o-out."

Also I have stuttering problem.Generally my stuttering increases when I talk to someone new.So I try talking less.

"I asked if you would like me to do your hair"said my nana.

Nana is one of the maids who works in mansion.She is about 50 years old.But she is the one who raised me most of the time and cared for me.I love her so much.She was the one who was there with me right from my birth.She knows that I am not interested in marriage but her opinion is not considered by my father.He became furious and shouted at her too.I felt really bad for her.

"Su-ure nana".

Many maids were doing my make up while nana was doing my hair.I am in a purple netted dress.The dress was selected by nana herself.

After finishing my make up,my nana gave me satisfied and happy look.

"I am very proud of you dear.I know you are not ready for this stage of life.But you have to be since there is no other way"she gave me a small sad smile while saying.

"I know you are very patient but remember that you are going to spend rest of your life with your going to be husband.You have to take care of him.Try not to be on his bad side.I know you will make me proud"she said that while tears formed in the corner of her eyes.

I hugged her and confidently said"I will nana".

A maid entered the hall. "Mr.William is calling you ma'am."

"Okay"I said trying not to think much.I have to see the arrogant guy.Lord save me.

God!I came 10 minutes late because of the traffic.My father and step mom already arrived because he had to invite the guests.The paparazzi was taking photos and this is the first time people are going to get to know about me.

My dad came running towards me and forcefully dragged me inside a room.

"Why were you late?"he shouted.

"I...Beca-cause of traffic"I said in a low voice.

"Everyone has arrived and you are late,Thank god your soon to be fiance has not arrived." he said frustrated

"So-orry...I didn't mean to come late."

A knock was on the door

"Come in"my father said loudly.

"Sir he has arrived "a waiter announced to us.

I didn't lift my head up when my father dragged me out of the room.We sat in the allotted seats in the table while my dad had to address him.I didn't see who he was talking to.

"Ma'am, do you want anything to drink ?"A waiter asked me

"Can I have wa-water alone p-please."

I don't drink at all.

The waiter placed the water in table and went.Someone called my name.
