"He was literally insane. Like crazy insane. I can't explain it. Either way he was sexy looking," Lottie said on the other side of the phone.

This had to have been the millionth time I heard this story. Ever since Lottie went to New York she wouldn't shut up about it. The story always started with that bright blue light that shot up in the air and then you could see space. And these aliens came out. And there was that "sexy looking" guy named Loki. In the end the Avengers beat him. I highly doubted this Loki was "sexy looking".

"Mhm." I said as I flipped through a magazine. A pause. "Lottie?"

"Yes?" She asked.

"Can you please shut up about this?"

"Fine," she responded with disappointment.

That surprised me. Wouldn't you be scared of that kind of stuff? Lottie could have ended up dying. So why would she be disappointed in ending the conversation? Maybe I was going insane.

"Astrid?" She asked into the phone when I realized I wasn't paying attention. Lottie had been jibber jabbering about something that I obviously didn't care about.

"What did you say? I wasn't paying attention." I said before a yawn escaped my mouth.

"As always," she said with a huff. "I was saying that you should really put on some weight before you become a Barbie Doll. It's not healthy."

"For your information I've been putting on plenty weight. And I'm no where near to becoming a 'Barbie Doll'! I may be a blonde and skinny, but that doesn't make me a stupid Barbie Doll! Plus I'm naturally skinny. What's wrong with that?" I screamed into the phone.

"Everything."

"I hate you. I'm sorry if me being skinny bothers you, but that's just who I am."

"Do you know what really scares me?" She asked me with worry in her voice.

"No. I don't." I said, almost annoyed. "Will you please tell me."

"Ever since everyone found out about Loki, your life has changed drastically. First, your parents started taking these really long trips away from home, leaving you alone. Second, you started getting super skinny form lack of eating. Third, you became very self conscience."

It took me a moment for it to sink in and I said, "First, my parents don't particularly think I'm normal. Second, I needed to get rid of some that extra fat. Third, people started scaring me, and hormones started kicking in."

"Those are all crappy excuses." She said really annoyed.

"Sorry to hear that, but they're all true." I said.

I felt like slapping myself, but I felt really good on the inside. I finally told someone. Wait a minute. I FINALLY TOLD SOMEONE! It was a miracle. The reason for me wanting to slap myself was because I wanted to keep it a secret. Well that plan failed.

"Sorry to say this, but I don't believe you." She said almost mimicking me. And that made me tick.

"Don't you dare do that!" I screamed.

"Do what?"

My eye lids half way covered my eyes. "You know exactly what I'm talking about."

"Sorry, but I don't."

"That's it!" I sucked in a breathe. "Good night."

"Good night, Barbie Doll."

I got up from the couch and headed to my turquoise bedroom. Ever since I was eight years old that was my favorite color and insisted my bedroom be painted that color. I walked to my dresser and opened the bottom drawer. In there were all of my pajamas. I pulled out a tank top and a pair of soft pants. I took off my clothes and put my pajamas on. After that I walked into my bathroom and washed my face and went back to my bedroom. Then I curled up on my bed with my covers over me and fell asleep.
