The next morning after getting ready, everybody walked into the bank on time as scheduled.
"Good morning, Jim!"
"Clint Birchwood, we were meeting today?"
"I called to schedule a meeting for today."
Wyatt placed the case of money onto Jim's desk and opened it.
"This is the amount that we owe you."
Jim quickly observed the case of money.
"Ah, yes, I do see that this is the exact amount of the loan which is very surprising."
"You sound quite upset."
"Of course not, my apologies but just give me a moment."
He walked into a back room as Amelia saw him talking on the phone.
"So, this is really weird because the bank would be glad that you paid them back the loan."
"Somethin' doesn't feel right."
Soon, Jim came back with a tall man walking behind him.
"Good morning, friends!"
"Who's this?"
"And why in the hell he thinks we're his friends?"
"Everything's okay, I just wanted you to know that you have other options since I've heard about your financial problems."
"And I got news for you, you can keep your money!"
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"And who are you?"
The man aggressively shoved his hand at Clint.
"Landon Reid, manager of Land Corps and I'm the man who is going to buy your ranch."
"I'm sorry, but who are you again?"
"Landon Reid and I represent Land Corps, an international agricultural company."
"I heard about y'all in the news which you guys are responsible for all the biochemical stuff."
"Please, don't believe the false media but I had prepared to make an exceptional hell of an offer."
"The ranch ain't for sale if that's what you're suggesting!"
"Please excuse him, he's just a little upset about all this but--"
"And what's this whole reason that the bank is calling buyers without me being notified?"
"Uh, I was--"
"This is the most underhanded, stupidest idea I've ever heard!"
"Guys, I don't trust him, this whole thing been shady from the beginning."
"I trust him to be nothing but a no-good scammer!"
"Can we please just listen to him?"
"Thank you, Luke and as I was saying, Land Corps is all about supporting all of the agriculture in Arizona and I see that you're aware that your ranch industry is dying in which your son had to win a rodeo to pay the bills."
"How did you know about that?"
"It's my job to know those things like large-scale farming is the only business model that makes financial sense."
"You mean where cows are placed in tight cells and can't barely breathe?"
"Obviously, I'm not here to debate about finer business but just to talk about the future which Land Corps is going for land purchases in the state and I'm interested in making a deal for your ranch."
