"Just give up, Charmcaster.. The omnitrix can match anything you throw at it..."

Nega Ben, wielder of the omnitrix, mumbled as he stood over the white haired girl, looking down upon her. His hood was still pulled up, the omnitrix ready to go again if required.

"Fine... I hate you, and your cousin.. where is she anyways? She's the reason I came after you..."

Ben didn't bother to give an answer, instead gesturing to Rook. After cuffing her and putting her in the back of the van, Ben started to wonder where his cousin went as well. He hadn't seen her for a while. Assuming she was probably just with Kevin, he jumped up front with Rook and they sped off to plumber headquarters.

"Ben, I think Charmcaster is staring."

Heeding Rooks words, Ben looked back at Charmcaster, noting that she was indeed staring.

"What do you want? Freedom, vengeance? Whatever.. heard it all before."

He muttered, looking back ahead and leaning his head on his hand.

"I'd prefer just to have these cuffs removed. They're so uncomfortable."

She smiled innocently, not really having any plans to escape. She was ignored nonetheless, the proto-TRUK pulling in front of Max's plumbing. Nega Ben pulled Charmcaster from the truck and walked in to the store, Grandpa Max already knowing what was going on.

"Great catch, boys! You guys are really filling up the cells!"

Rook smiled while Ben just nodded a little. The two along with Charmcaster walked towards the bathroom, Charmcaster looking at the two.

"Threesome, boys? This should be fun."

Ben groaned but paid no more attention, pulling the handle. That familiar green glow sent them down to the plumbers main earth base. Seeing Patteliday, Ben handed the witch off and walked away to search for Blukic and Driba. It was time for smoothies.

~30 minute timeskip~

After completing their smoothie run, Rook coming along for a smoothie as well, Ben.. Ben went home. He sat in his room on his phone, ignoring calls from plumber headquarters and the plumber badge beeping. He didn't want to move. All of his movements were beginning to get more sluggish. He hardly even wanted to press that familiar little button, hear that beeping, that normal glow.

"The great Ben Tennyson moping around? That doesn't seem like you."

Charmcaster. That must have been the reason the plumbers were calling him. He didn't care, still. They could be dead, like his mother. It's not that he was a bad person. He was depressed, he couldn't help it.

"If you are here to kill me, try as you may, you can't. I've tried, Vilgax.. many have, and none have ever succeeded."

He didn't look up at her, only able to feel her sitting beside him, her hand on his back.

"Why would I kill you? Yeah, I hate your cousin, but right now it would be boring anyways. Killing the great Ben Tennyson would be great, but you've only ever tried to protect Gwen."

Ben sat up slowly, grumbling a little as he felt Charmcaster wrapping her arms around him lightly.

"No amount of talking is going to fix this. A lot won't. But I'm gonna be by your side if you want it."

A small sob came from Ben, tears coming from his eyes. Everything came crashing down on him, from his mother dying to people betraying him, Julie leaving him. He didn't care that it was Charmcaster. He only cared about somebody being with him to help him when he needed it.

She wasn't his Ally. She wasn't his friend. For now, she was his lover and nothing was going to change that as long as they were by each other. He leaned in to her, her hair falling on his face and covering the tears, muffling the sobs. She just ran her fingers through his hair, holding him close.
