Kasey sat at the table at The Rusty Rudder waiting on Madison to get there. He didn't know why he was so nervous, but maybe it was the fact he hadn't seen her in 10 years. About that time he looked up and saw her walking through the door. Her tight jeans hugged her in all the right places and her top accentuated what she had. "Hey" he said getting up to hug her. "Hey" she said hugging him back. They sat down and ordered some drinks. "So Madison what is new in 10 years" he asked. "I moved to Nashville and got a job with CMT. I started behind a desk working on blogs and such then moved up over the years. I currently live in an apartment downtown where all the action happens" she said. "What about Heather? Does she still live with you?" he asked. "No. About 3 years after we moved to Nashville, Heather met a guy at her work and they got married, have two kids and live in Knoxville." "Wow so you live by yourself?" he asked. "Yep I'm 33 I can handle it" she said. "You don't look a day over 16" he said with a laugh. "You either, well minus some wrinkles here or there" she said with a laugh. They ordered their food and Madison stared out on the water. "I miss this sometimes" she said. "Why did you ever leave then?" he asked. "I knew it was best for me and for you" she said. "For me? He asked. "I had a new career out of college and was practically living out of a suitcase. I felt like my life was already being pulled in a million different ways and then you came back into it. I didn't know how to handle the pressure and we weren't the same kids we had been in High school. I knew leaving would be good for me and was able to let you live your life and experience the new life you were coming into." "Kale said after you left that you did that out of love" he said. "It partly was and some of my selfishness" she said taking a sip of her drink. "How is Kale by the way?" "He's also married with a baby on the way and Shanon is married with twin girls and my nephew Eli" he said. "Wow a lot has changed in the Kahne family. What about you Kasey? No girlfriends or kids that you know of" she said with a laugh. "No not at the moment. "I've dated many girls and had one night stands, but nothing serious" he said downing his beer. "What about you Madison? Any man in your life?" he asked. "No, not really. I've been on dates and had some one night stands myself, but nothing to shake a stick at. I'm too involved in work to care and no one ever seemed to be what I was looking for." "What are you looking for?" he asked. "Who knows" she said. They finished dinner and their drinks. "Would you like to come by and see what my new house looks like?" he asked. "I'm not sure if that's such a good idea" she said. "Trust me."

On the car ride to Kasey's house, the words "trust me" ran through Madison's head at a million miles a minute. Those were words Kasey had used when they weren't going to get caught sneaking out at midnight on the weekends or when they got into bed together their last go around. He pulled down his long driveway to this sprawling house. "Wow" is all she could muster to get out. "This is home" he said helping her out of the car. "Definitely different from the days in the Birkdale apartment" she said. "You remember that?" he asked. "Of course I do" she said. They walked into the sprawling home that over looked nothing but woods. "This is amazing" she said. "I wanted something of my own and this is what I came up with" he said. "You did a great job" she said. She stood at the window and looked at the moon over the pond in the distance. "This reminds me of old times" he said looking at her. "What do you mean?" she asked turning to look at him. "You, here with me as the moon shines on the water" he said. "Oh yeah like the time you set up a blanket fort by your parent's lake without them knowing" she said. "Yep and we drank beer and made love all night until we fell asleep that summer" he said. "Good times" she said with a smile. "Madison what happened 10 years ago? He asked. "I don't know Kase. I loved you, but I guess I wasn't ready for that life. I knew you weren't." "You never asked me how I felt" he said. "You would have saved me from a lot of mistakes I made after you" he said. "I'm sorry" she said going to opening the doors to outside and going to sit beside the pool. They sat in silence for a while, catching glances at each other. Madison knew she needed to get out of here before something happened and went to leave. "Where are you going?" he asked. "I need to get back to my hotel" she said. "Wait" he said trying to grab her arm and accidently pulling them both into the pool. Madison let out a shriek and looked at Kasey who was smiling. "Sorry" he said with a smile. She couldn't stay mad at that face; she never could. He closed the space between them like he always did and pulled her into him kissing her. She pulled back. "We can't Kasey" she said. "This time we are Madison" he said kissing her again as he deepened the kiss picking her up and putting her up against the wall. Madison could feel him getting hard. He pulled her wet jeans off and threw them on the wall of the pool and he threw his clothes in a wet pile beside hers. She was left in her bra and panties and he in his boxers. He slid her panties down and positioned himself to enter her. She threw her head back as he stuck his length in. "Kasey" she moaned. "Shhh" he said kissing her lips. His pace quickened as he thrusted deeper and harder each time. Madison could tell he was getting close and she was too and they climaxed together. "Fuck" he said pulling out. He got out of the pool and went to grab towels. "Here" he said handing her one. "Thank you" she said. "Come inside, let's get warm" he said. She followed him to the bedroom where he threw her one of his t-shirts. "You can use the dryer if you need to or hang anything in the bathroom" he said. "Ok, but I need underwear" she said. He threw her a pair of his boxers and she slid the shirt and those on. Kasey looked at her and it made him weak seeing her in his clothes. Madison climbed into his bed and pulled the blankets up. "I'll be right back" he said. While he was gone, Madison looked around at the pictures he had on his nightstands. There were none of women, but of his nieces and nephews. He came back a second later with some beers. "Here" he said handing her one. "Thanks" she said. He got into bed beside her and turned on the TV. "So I'm guessing this is how you thought this might end up" he said. "Yep minus the part about the pool" she said with a laugh. After a couple of minutes Madison had fallen asleep and Kasey looked at how peaceful she was and how he could get used to having her here every night. He lay down next to her and held her like he was never going to let her go.
