Back then, I didn't know what my life would become. I was just a young adult struggling to understand myself and the world around me. The days often seemed to stretch on for far too long, and yet there were other moments when the days would have not nearly enough hours to do as I needed. Oh, right. How rude of me to not introduce myself before I tell you my life's journey and how I discovered what have about love and life itself.
I'm Cher'nia of House Sterna. My family is different than most, or at least that's what I believed back when I was first going to college (the same time I was struggling with my self-identity). See, I had gotten an invitation to a college that would help me learn all I would need to succeed in our works. A world I had thought was rather mundane, almost banal, in its existence.
What I didn't know was that House Sterna had a secret that you only found out at your 21st birthday. What is this secret, well... let me take you on the tale of my first year through the Savri College. A place for unique people, many you will meet in this story.
---- First Day Of College. Savri College Campus ----
"Welcome everyone to Savri College, I'm Rosario - the RA of the Alpha Sigma Phi. I will also be your tour guide for the day" A young man with medium length black hair, an angular yet handsome face and silver eyes watched our group, I know what you must be thinking... because I thought it too when he looked at us... silver eyes? That couldn't be right, but he definitely had them must have been a pair of contacts. I sort of shrugged it off as the College was known for having a wicked display of technological classes that showed the students how to be the best in the arts and medical areas of the world.
As we took the tour we were shown the different types of classrooms, the cafeteria, the sports section. And of course, the obligatory library that basically every college ever had. The campus wasn't anything too special on the surface. Rosario, however, kept looking at me when he would speak. It sort of creeped me out so I tried to get away before he saw me but his hand touched my shoulder.
"You're not like the rest of the group. Why did you come to Savri?" He asked of me, though I hadn't heard his words. When he spoke his voice seemed to wash over me with its deep tone. Something about the way he spoke made me just have to hear more. "I'm sorry.. what?" I spoke with pure idiocy behind my words. Rosario chuckled with a voice so deep if felt to be similar to that of the infamous Dwarves that people tried to play in all those fantasy games online.
"I said, why are you here at Savri. You are different than most who come here" Rosario smirked and put his hands into a relaxed cross over his chest. This time I had managed to hear him and shrugged. "Felt a draw to attend here, apparently my family has been attending this college since.... my great great... 4 times over Grandmother's time of attending... it's sort of a family tradition to attend Savri College. Not exactly sure why though"
While we were talking, it seemed a larger group of college kids started to gather around us watching our exchange, such a crowd-drawing made me more nervous and I quickly excused myself to find my way in on the dorms and specifically the assigned dorm I was in. This place had mixed rooms instead of guys with guys or girls with girls unless you were taken to a frat or sorority. Honestly, I didn't care about the sorority thing, least if all right that moment.
Going to my room I noticed it was pretty plain on one side and my roommate either wasn't here yet I didn't have knee year. Either way, it was time to start unpacking. Guess my mom had put the boxes in the room and left. She even left me a card, we weren't super tight like some families but we knew there was love.
-Dear Cher'nia. I made sure everything was in your room like my mom did the first day. Family tradition and all. This year is lucky 21.... don't go out for too long, I want to hear all about school and how it was your first 2 weeks. Message me and know I love you so very much- That was my mom for you, she never stayed in a place long unless she had to and even then she avoided most people, her temper was always super calm and in control. She was cool though.
