In order to submit and be successful in winning this award, persons MUST follow the following criteria for the award precisely:
AWARD GUIDELINES
Stories can be from any of the following genre, as long as it tells a story:
• Fanfiction • Fantasy • Historical Fiction • Horror/Paranormal • Literary Fiction • Mystery/Thriller • Poetry • Non-Fiction • New Adult • Romance • Science Fiction • Young Adult
Stories must be fully available on Wattpad, and should be 100% your original work and written entirely by you.
Stories must be tagged #TDLA2019 and must have a completed submission form.
Stories rated mature can be entered into the awards, HOWEVER, they must actually tell a story.
BOOK LIMITS
Your story MUST contain five or more chapters (Prologue/Prelude/Interlude excluded), whether completed or ongoing, when submitting to the awards.
For poetry, MUST contain ten or more chapters, whether completed or ongoing, when submitting to the awards.
SUBMISSION AND SUBMISSION FORMS
Books must be submitted within the submission time frame, failure to abide by this rule will result in disqualification. Also books MUST be tagged #TDLA2019.
Only a number of fifteen books will be accepted within the awards for each genre. As soon as the number is exceeded, no more books will be accepted until the next opening. This is because, the awards is being operated by one person. (An apology in advance to those who's books will not be accepted.)
You are welcome to submit more than one book, but of different genre.
To submit into the Diversity Lit Awards, comment within the line of the Genre your book is found.
Example:
MYSTERY/THRILLER: Of Sins and Men by @troubledyouths.
SUBMISSION TIME FRAME
Submissions of books must take place within the dates June 10, 2019- June 30, 2019. Submission closed at July 1, 2019.
Submissions are opened June 10, 2019 at 6:00a.m. Eastern Standard Time and closes at June 30, 2019 at 11:59p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Please submit your story within that time frame.
With the Wattys being launched and other awards opened, the time frame of the awards is lengthen in order for person to have the chance to submit their stories without a rush.
LANGUAGE & TERRITORY
Your stories are to be written in ENGLISH.
Hopefully, at the next opening of the awards more Languages can be added to the awards for more chances for persons around the world to win.
