PROLOGUE:
"Please be alright?" Ivy asked as she put down the pocket knife and picked up a small towel and bowl of water to put on my forehead.
I suddenly opened my eyes and felt a cold chill up my spine and I gasped heavily trying to catch my breath while sitting up.
"I'm fine, but.... Where are they" I tried to hold up the feeling of guilt that just washed over me as a sly tear fell down my cheek.
"I know what your thinking and it's not your–" She tries to speak but I interrupt her by practically sprinting towards the living room, tears streaming down my eyes as I see my mother and father lying dead on the carpet "they......they're" I try to speak but my words just seem jumbled, I fall to the ground, knees to the floor but as a pained scream escapes my lips, something which was unbelievable happened. I opened up my eyes and the whole living room was captured in ice, suddenly not even thinking twice I stood up and dashed out the door slamming it in Ivy's face (might seem rude but I could barely tell the difference).
I get further away from our house as I come in sight with a black bench I slump down in it continuing my endless sobs while thinking about what happened, what....who I saw and what became of my parents........ would I have been able to save them if the roles played out differently....... But most of all I sat there thinking about the life I was now cursed to live.
I was already on the verge of passing out from all the tears that escaped my eyes until I felt a second presence I expected to be ivy coming to get me, reassure me that everything was alright. The shadowy figure came closer and closer until it was close enough to see and sadly it wasn't her..............
