Nines didn't often go down to the forensics and mortuary labs. His division was upstairs, so he'd never had a reason to until now. He trailed behind the detective as they walked down the hallway towards Kyle's lab. Reed's outburst earlier had not gone unheard by the android and it echoed around inside his head. Does he really think that? The android thought to himself as they entered a lab on the left side of the hall. It was bright and cold inside. There was a metal table set up in the center of the room. The walls hosted medical equipment that glinted in the harsh overhead light. A doorway to another room was in the corner.

"Hello?" Reed called out, hovering just inside the door frame, not sure if he was really allowed to come in any further. An android stuck his head out of the other room.

"Hi?" He said stepping into the main room. "May I help you?" Nines instantly noticed the android uniform. He was a model AB300, a forensics unit, obviously.

"Yeah, uh, is there a uh,,, Greta Kyle in here?" As soon as Reed finished his sentence, Kyle stepped out of the backroom as well. She stood next to the android and raised an eyebrow at the two.

"Yeah, she is." said Kyle. "What do you want?" Reed straightened his shoulders.

"You're gonna be working with us on the High Tree Lonz case." Kyle tilted her head, skeptical.

"O...kay? Thanks?" She said quizzically. "Can I introduce myself again then? Since we're going to be working together?" Nines held back a smile, not many people could be as subtly passive aggressive as Gavin.

"Gavin Reed. This is Nines." he gestured back to the android behind him as he spoke. Jerk. Kyle smiled at them both.

"As I said before, I'm Greta Kyle and this is August." The android gave a small wave. Kyle nodded. "I look forward to working with you two."
