I stood silently as I waited to meet Zero's boyfriend; my knees shaking unnoticeably beneath me. I had to admit, I was somewhat terrified; I mean, I had just knocked Zero out cold to win the battle against her and become Slenderman's new proxy. Now, I was about to meet her boyfriend who could potentially kick my ass for beating the crap out of her.

"So, you've never met Puppeteer yet have you Amythest?" Slenderman asked for the second time.

Again I shook my head. "Nope." I admitted sheepishly, "At least, not that I can recall. I mean, I may have seen him briefly during dinner or something in that regards; but haven't actually had the opportunity to meet him yet."

I shrugged, that certainly sounded a lot better in my head than it had out loud.

"Hi, that would be me." He said, "I'm Puppeteer, Zero's boyfriend."

I gulped.

"H-Hello..." I stammered, "It's uh... not what it looks like."

Zero began to stir and wake up, causing us to look in her direction. I had to admit, I was glad to see her coming too; I was worried that I had knocked her unconscious for good, so seeing her coming around definitely had me feeling a bit more at ease.

Puppeteer chuckled, "Ha, ha babe you got your ass kicked."

"No shit Sherlock." Zero said, rolling her eyes.

I smiled, "Still think I can't be a proxy?"

Zero rubbed the back of her neck, "No, I knew you could do it when I saw you kill those guys. Remember?"

Just as I was about to answer, Jeff showed up. Aw great... I thought, what does he want?

Jeff looked around unblinkingly. "What's going on here?" He asked.

Ben laughed, "You missed Amythest's Proxy test."

I smirked, folding my arms across my chest. "I just kicked Zero's ass. You want to be next?" I asked, a hint of sarcasm in my voice.

Jeff shook his head, "Oh..." He said, "I was asleep."

I grabbed Jeff's knife that I had been holding onto since the start of my proxy test and pulled it out from within my pocket; looking at it carefully before turning my attention back towards Jeff.

"Oh yeah, before I forget..." I began, "Here, catch. I don't need it anymore." I said as I tossed the knife in his direction.

Jeff quickly caught the knife by the handle and looked at me with his typical glare, but I couldn't really blame him for it; I mean, the boy couldn't blink. All he can do is stare.

"What the fuck!" Jeff shouted angrily, "Why did you have my knife?!"

Puppeteer looked at me and smirked, "So, you're the new proxy then huh?"

I nodded. "Yep," I said, "... and Jeff, chill. It was part of my test; I didn't have a choice. It was either: I steal your knife and continue to the next part of the test; or, I forfeit the proxy test and fail. I chose to steal your knife."

"Wow." Jeff the Killer scoffed.

"Good match Zero." I said with a smile.

Zero nodded, "Yeah, you're good."

I nodded and looked towards the large bag that I had brought back to the mansion earlier that evening. I made my way towards it and smiled, still feeling rather pleased with myself; I had certainly improved since the first time I had killed and quite honestly, I didn't think I had it in me at first. These men, the ones that had fallen victim to my arrows, deserved to die. Each and every one of them.
