Scott’s POV
There was a knock at the bedroom door. I wrapped the comforter around Mitch’s bare body and pulled some sweats on before answering it. Kevin, Avi, and Kirstie were all standing outside smiling knowingly.
“Hey big boy,” Kevin laughed. “You getting some booty?”
“Kevin!” Kirstie squealed. “Stop! Scotty’s booty-getting is none of your business!”
“But really,” Avi smiled, speaking in a lower tone than usual. “You and Mitch having fun?”
“Alright, alright,” I said sarcastically. “What’s up?”
“Everyone liked the idea of going to Conter Avenue. We’re performing in front of the casino in an hour!” Kirstie explained.
“Okay, we’ll be ready,” I replied.
“Be ready for what?” Mitch called from the bed, still wrapped in the blankets.
“The first performance,” Kevin said before I could. “By the way, Scotty Boy here isn’t giving us any information. You having fun in here?”
Mitch blushed momentarily before return to his sassy demeanor. “Lots of fun. Join us next time, big talker.”
Kevin laughed nervously and I took the opportunity to push everyone out the door.
“He’s not joining us- we’re exclusive,” I told Mitch, pulling him into me.
“Always,” Mitch giggled. He wrapped the blankets around himself before stepping out of bed. “Hey, what’re you wearing tonight?”
“Black jeans, green t-shirt, black Nike’s, and maybe a loose black tie. Makes it more pro-fesh,” I wrapped my arms around Mitch’s neck and kissed the back of his head.
“Should we match and go extra-gay with it, or just wear whatever?” He asked.
“Let’s match… loosely,” I suggested, sifting through our suitcases.
I ended up getting dressed first, taking all my clothes into the connected bathroom. I tied my tie only halfway, so that it hung loosely halfway down my chest. Whilst in the bathroom, I ran a comb through my hair and put a small amount of wax in. Before leaving, I swiped my fingers through the front of the blond mess, pulling all the strands backward but still standing tall.
When I walked out, Mitch had already changed in the empty bedroom. He was wearing red jeans and a black V-Neck. He had a black tie on, too, tied about as loosely as mine.
In short, he looked absolutely hot.
“Looking good,” I said gratefully as he brushed his hair out.
“Not as good as you,” He pushed his chocolate brown hair to the side and combed out the stray pieces. We finished getting ready after a few minutes, at 7:45.
I picked Mitch up bridal style and swung him around.
“You’re messing my hair up!” He screamed, trying to wriggle out of my grip. I ignored him, and burst out of the room.
“The queen and his king are here,” I said in a British accent, walking down the long staircase. The rest of the group was sitting in the living room watching Spongebob.
“You guys are AD-OR-AB-LE!” Kirstie laughed, and I threw Mitch onto the recliner next to the TV.
“The cutest,” Avi looked distant and couldn’t tear his eyes away from Kirstie. I felt bad, rubbing my relationship in his face when he couldn’t say two words to his mega-crush. But at the same time, maybe it would motivate him to speak up.
