He jolted awake from his uncomfortable sleep. His head was throbbing and he was completely disoriented. How long had he bin out of if? His right eyes was swollen shut and his left one was bleeding badly. His shirt was dampened by the sweat of his nightmares and stained by his blood. His very flesh was burning even though the stone cell was freezing. He turned his head slowly so he wouldn't pass out from hunger. The dim light that was hanging from the wall made him dizzy. He saw her. She was curled up in the corner sitting in a pool of dark liquid. Her back was bare of clothes but was covered by gashes and bruises. He crawled over to the wall and used it to prop himself up but his legs turned to jello under his weight and he fell to the ground. His cuts hit the dirt letting in a whole new level of pain. The physical pain was the least of his worries. The guilt was eating him alive.

This was his fault. This was his fault that they were in there and it was his fault that she is cowering in the corner practically dead. I t was his fault they fell madly in love. Why did they have to take her too?She had nothing to do with this and now she has to pay the price. "The drop box. How did they find the drop box?" He thought silently to himself. He strained trying to think about how this even happened but It only mad him more dizzy. the put his hands to his head to try to stop it from throbbing.Throbbing. Throbbing. He pulled his hands away and saw that they were covered with warm and sticky blood. He knew that this was the end. He knew that they weren't going to make it out of this alive. He slowly tried to stand. he leaned against the wall this time so he wouldn't fall. He opened his mouth to speak but his throat was burning from the lack of water. It was at least four days ago when they fed both of them a cap full of water. And food hasn't bin herd of for what felt like a month. He knew that she couldn't survive this any longer. But he had to try.

"okay." He mumbled. He was almost certain that someone, somewhere was watching them. he took one last look around with his good eye. He saw her shivering from the cold. She was heaving in raspy and heavy breaths. she was so fragile, so sickly. He had to do this for her.

"Okay I'll tell you what you want to know." He said to the thin air. He knew they herd him. "I'll tell you what you want to know." he said as loud as he could before his voice was completely gone. her slowly let himself slide back onto the floor. they weren't coming. it was too late to tell. they were going to let them rot. He crawled over to her. She was shacking so bad. He wrapped his arms around her to try to keep her warm. She was as cold as the very room itself. He let her go and turned her over to see her face. Her lips were as dark as the puddle surrounding her.  Both of her eyes were swollen and puffy. Her lips were busted and she had bruises on her face to match the ones on her back. The waist up was bare and very damaged. He couldn't stand to see her like this. She was innocent to all of this. All she did was love him and they try to kill her for it.

"Kathryn, Kathryn can you hear me." He whispered in a raspy voice. She just moaned in response. At least she's alive. He looked down beside himself and found a torn blanket. He grabbed it and wrapped it around her. She slowly grabbed it and curled back up in the corner. As soon as she was back in the corner a loud creak came from the wall in front of him. And out burst a gust of hot wind and a whole lot of sunlight. His eyes burned and it rattled his brain making him cry out in pain.

"Get up." A voice said in the mist of the light. He slowly started to pry himself up on the wall again................
