Skyline's POV
The tension in the room was unpleasant. Mom was giving me glares. Not those type of glares were they're like 'I want you to feel my anger' type, more so 'I want to woop you're ass if you don't say something lil girl' type.
"What happened to dad?" I croaked. I think that was a bad question to ask considering she is pissed at me.
"Your father was in a accident," she responded.
Geez, what did he do? What can he possibly do?
"He was on his way to Boston for one of his clients and a car hit him. While in the hospital, he went in coma." As she finished I didn't know what to say. I stared at her intensely but it was interrupted by my brother Liam who just walked downstairs.
"Oh Liam I didn't know you were here! My poor baby, he doesn't know what happened to his father." My mom said making me pissed off yet again. How cone she didn't say that to me? Aren't i special too?
"Ehh sorry I was sleeping what's up with all the gloomy faces?" Liam glancing around the room, more particularly Roxie who seems she can't hold in her cry, making her mascara smear.
"Da-Dad is i-n the hospital and he-he's in a coma and w-we don't kn-ow if he'll ev-ever wake up!" Roxie bawling her eyes out. I on the other decided to go upstairs and change into some different clothes.
Just as I got to the stair case, I turned around to my "family". Liam looked sad knowing about what happened to Dad but not as bad as Roxie and Mom is just hugging all of them in a group hug. I sighed. No one here ever treats me like and that's my biggest wish, to feel loved for one in my life. To have love to hot that I burst in to flames.
Flames? Yeah that wasn't really a good poem or metaphor was it? Whatever. I walked up the rest of the stairs and went into my room. I slung my bag on the chair and quickly changed into a tank top and sweatpants. I laid down in my bed trying to sleep but I couldn't. I had Jake in my mind and Dad in it too. Why can't life just be easy for once?
