CHAPTER FIVE

CHAPTER FIVE- m e t e o r s h o w e r

How long had it been since she found out that she had a brother? Only a few days, but for Y/n it felt like it was a month since it happened. Rose had began to avoid Y/n whenever she was with Ben, maybe Rose still was suspicious of him. But Y/n didn't care, she thought he was adorable.

It was early in the morning, around 7:00 a.m and Rose was telling Y/n and Roxanne about Aaron Caster. "He is really nice and understanding, so when I confronted him about it, he was so honest about it" Rose marvelled. Y/n smiled, it was nice to see that she and Aaron had worked things out. "He seems like a really good friend" Y/n smiled as Rose confirmed it. In the corner of her eye she saw Lin, she had the same fierce look as always. Y/n waved her over "Hey, Lin!". Rose and Roxanne looked at Y/n then back at Lin. "Who is that?" Roxanne asked, it seemed like Y/n wasn't the only one that hadn't seen her before. Y/n leaned over to Roxanne and whispered in her ear "I think she is a friend of Scorpoius, I have only talked to her once. But I'll let her tell us herself"
Lin sat down beside her, Y/n thought it was a good thing that she didn't care about what everyone else meant: that you can only sit at the table that belongs to your house.
Y/n turned to face Lin "I never got to ask, but how did you and Scorp become friends?"
"In case you didn't know, I didn't get sorted because I already was in a house with the same traits as Slytherin, but that has nothing to do with it. I was running late and had no idea where my class was and on top of it all I managed to bump into this boy that I later found out was Scorpius. I got mad at him and yelled, then ran off. But when I saw him in class again I realised he was in my house. He saw me and apologised even though it wasn't his fault after that we just started to hang out, he also introduced me to a boy named Albus Potter" it seemed like Lin also thought Albus Potter was a normal boy, just like Y/n did. "Why did you get mad at him?" Rose asked carefully, she didn't want Lin to get mad. Her fierce look was still there "I have a temper sometimes" Lin smiled like it was nothing but Y/n felt like there was something Lin wasn't telling them. However Y/n didn't want to pry.

After breakfast headed Y/n to defence against dark arts that she had with Slytherin, hopefully she could talk to Albus and Scorpius there, it was about something important. Y/n pushed the door open and walked in, every student was there already there but surprisingly Albus and Scorpius wasn't there. Y/n huffed, she sat down at one of the empty desks. In today's class were they learning about dark creatures, especially trolls and hags. Every muggle student could relate with the fact that the hags looked exactly like the bad witch in fairy tales, especially Snow White. But Y/n couldn't relate, she had never read fairy tales back home at her aunts. When class ended and all the students rushed out like a crowd and Y/n was somewhere in the middle of the crowd. Maybe Lin knew where they were? Y/n looked around after Lin and hoped that she hadn't left yet,
Y/n was still outside of the DADA classroom and when the door squeaked turned she around. It was Lin, she hadn't left the classroom till now. Lin smiled when she realised Y/n was there, "next time you can sit with me" she exclaimed. Y/n nodded "um, have you seen Scorpius and Albus? They weren't in class. Did you see them during breakfast?" Y/n asked, it wasn't normal for them skip class and definitely not breakfast. Even though students from another house wasn't allowed in another house, Lin and Y/n  didn't care much, they were going to find Albus and Scorpius. Lin said the password to the Slytherin common room and they both walked inside, in the boys dormitory was silver lanterns hanging from the ceilings, the walls were decorated with Slytherin crests. Last time Y/n was here was when she, James and Teddy pranked Karl Jenkins and his friends. Y/n pushed the door to Albus, Scorpius and Craig Bowker Jr, thankfully for them he wasn't there but instead was to boys, Albus and Scorpius laying in their bed, almost like they were sleeping. Y/n shook Albus and yelled "wake up stupid, you just missed class" but none of them moved, it was like they were dead. Lin turned around to face Y/n, in her hand she had a yellow box which before had gift ribbon wrapped around it, inside was just crumbs of something baked. Lin looked narrow eyed at the box "I think they might have accidentally ate something with the draught of living death in it"
Y/n tiled her head to the side "does that mean that they are dead?". Lin shook her head but didn't hesitate to tell Y/n what it really did "no, but it sends the drinker into a deathlike slumber and can last indefinitely"
Well that couldn't be good, maybe there was an antidote to it. But there was only one place they  could find answers and that was in the library, unfortunately Lin and Y/n had to wait until their next class was over before they could start investigating. Lin and Y/n parted ways, she to history of Magic and Lin to charms. Since Y/n couldn't tell Albus and Scorpius her great idea, she decided to tell James first. Maybe she would see him before she got to class, nothing was worse than having history of Magic, not even detention with Filch. Right before she took a turn, saw Y/n James in the corner of her eye. "James! Wait, I have to ask you something really important" Y/n yelled fast, so that he would hear her before he got away. James stopped and walked over to Y/n "have you seen Albus today?"
Y/n shook her head but didn't tell him about what she and Lin had found out. Instead she smiled and looked up at James with big eyes "I was wondering if you would like to sneak out tonight, I heard it's going to be a meteor shower" her eyes sparkled with mischief, that was something she and James had in common. "Sure, I'll make sure to bring the map and the invisibility cloak" he looked down at Y/n, even though he was two years older and Y/n looked one year older. He was a little bit taller than her. "Great!" Y/n chirped and left James with a smile on his face. Nothing about history of magic was fun, except the time when class is over. Lin and Y/n had decided to eat quickly so that they could start searching for a antidote.
During breakfast everything seemed normal, students were laughing, talking and eating, but Y/n couldn't help to be worried about Albus and Scorpius. "Y/n, are you okay?" Rose asked
"Yes, it's just homework and stuff" Y/n beat around the bush and brushed their worry off. She excused herself and got up, ready to leave the table. But made sure to smile at them before she left. To find a book about antidotes wouldn't be so hard, it was just to find the shelf with books about potions and search there. Lin wasn't there yet but Y/n began to search for the book. It didn't take long before she found the book, it was thin, covered in black leather and a silver headline. Just as Y/n sat down walked Lin inside, she sat down "Sorry I'm late"
Y/n smiled "It's fine, and you're not late. It's me that is early" Y/n said as she showed the book with the antidotes to Lin. She scanned the first pages and read through each part, she looked up and pointed a finger at one specific sentence: wiggenweld potion is the antidote to the sleeping draught and the draught of living death.
"This won't be hard, I learned how to brew this in my first year back in Japan" Lin smiled, if there was one thing Y/n had noticed was how different Lin's facial expression was when she was around Y/n and when she was around a lot of people. "Great, then you must know what we need to brew it, right?" Y/n asked but Lin shook her head "no, but it says what we need in the book" Lin pointed down at the list of ingredients and the instructions. "Okay, we need a lot of salamander blood, five lionfish spines, Flobberworm mucus, honey water, boom berry juice" Y/n sighed, where was they supposed to find all of those ingredients. "My roommates dad is a potion maker, I can ask her"
"Okay, meet me in front of the room of requirement during dinner and we will brew it then" Y/n whispered so that Madam Pince wouldn't yell at them
