Chapter 1: The Ring

It was Saturday. Clear Sky, Sunny day, unfortunate working people waiting for the day to end.

With her morning face, Phoenix walked into the office. She wished her employees and walked into her cabin. " So, what's special today? ", Eunjoo asked. " Why? ", Phoenix questioned. " Miss, I know you from seven years. And I can tell by your face that there's something different about today. So, spit it out ", Eunjoo replied. " Today is the two year anniversary of our first date ", Phoenix replied. " And my mother's death anniversary too ", Eunjoo said in a low voice and few tears rolled down from her eyes.

Phoenix got up and hugged her , " I'm sorry. I didn't mean to - ". " Its ok , So,how are you two going to celebrate it? ", Eunjoo said by wiping her tears.
" I don't know ", Phoenix said with a disappointedly. " What do you mean by 'I don't know'? " Eunjoo question. " Actually from few days we haven't seen each other and not even texted. He said that he was busy with some work. I don't know if he remembers also ", Phoenix said. " Don't worry , Everything will be fine ", Eunjoo assured. " I hope ", Phoenix said. Phoenix kept on checking her phone as she was waiting for his text.

" Hyun , You all should be ready till 6p.m. . I'll directly bring her to the hotel. You all should be there on time ", Jungkook ordered everyone. " Don't worry. We will be there because we don't want to miss the moment when our makane will propose his girlfriend ", Jin said. " Awww.... Our Jungkookie is going to get married ", Taehyung said. " Hyun , She has not accepted till now ", Jungkook said while blushing. " Don't worry. She will say 'Yes' ", J-hope said. " Did you called Eunjoo? ", Jimin question. " Yes hyun , I called your girlfriend ", Jungkook commented. " She is not my girlfriend ", Jimin rolled his eyes. " But you like her , don't you? Your red face says everything ", Namjoon said. " Ok , Yes I like her ", Jimin announced. " We got a new couple ", Taehyung jumped with excitement.

Phoenix was sitting on her office as her phone started to ring . It was Jungkook's call . She picked it up without wasting a second . " Hello ", Phoenix said. " Get ready till 5p.m. . I'll pick you up infront of your office ", Jungkook said. " But why - ", before she can say anything he hung up the call . She kept on wondering why he asked her to get ready. What is he going to do ?

" Wow! , Its very beautiful ", Jimin said . " Our makane is rich ", J-hope said . They all were looking at the diamond ring bought by Jungkook. " Jungkookie , marry me. I want this ring ", Taehyung said . " Sorry hyun , I can't afford an expensive girl like you who will always ask me to buy Gucci products. But I'm sure Namjoon hyun can ", Jungkook commented.

Phoenix completed her work as fast as possible. She was alone in the office as the employees left early and Eunjoo also went away. Her phone rang. It was Jungkook. " Hello , come fast. I'll be there in a minute ", he said. " Ok ", she replied.

Phoenix took the lift and headed downstairs. When she reatOched there and saw Jungkook waving his hand from inside of the car. It was red light so she started crossing the road. She was happy to see his smile. Suddenly, a bright light shone on her face , she turned to see and her eyes opened wide . Jungkook saw it and stepped out of the car to save her but it was too late.

The car hit her. Jungkook ran and took her in his lap. She was still alive but her head was bleeding. People around him called the ambulance."Jungkook", Phoenix said as her vision started to blur. " Yes , I am here. I am with you. Don't leave me. Stay with me. Don't close your eyes ", he said as the people started to take her into the ambulance. He sat beside her , looking at her pale face . He felt something in his pocket. It was the ring. He took it out and looked at it and then looked at her. He clutched the ring tightly while his other hand was holding her hand .
