0 Days Gone – 28/03/2019
Thursday 28 March. Today was probably the best day of his life. Everything he's been trying to achieve since September, he has finally gotten.
Friends.
Friends he felt he could act himself around. Solomon had a huge smirk on his face and wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. Shania tapped him on his arm and he was taken back into the real world. That was awkward. She asked him why he was smiling so he told her, she replied saying that she was happy for him.
"Get the water," Yahya told him.
"Yes, my master," joked Solomon.
Solomon went up to the kitchen to get a jug of water. While he was walking, he looked around and saw people gathered around certain people who looked unwell, the closest group he saw was gathered around Ferdaous. She was drenched in her own sweat. Solomon asked Faduma what happened to her but she said she didn't know. Miss Burns came and helped Ferdaous stand up. As she stood up, Solomon noticed something; Ferdaous's tights had a tear and underneath there was a bloody bite.
What could have done that?
He proceeded to get the jug of water, still thinking of what could have happened to Ferdaous and all the others. As Solomon was walking back, he saw the sick girl pass out onto the ground. He dropped his jug of water and ran towards the unconscious girl, barging past everyone in his way. She had stopped breathing and there was no pulse, her temperature was over the roof. Mr Urswick had now entered the canteen and he told everyone to back away from her body. Tears began to form in the corner of Solomon's eyes. In a desperate attempt to save her life, Mr Urswick was ready to perform CPR on her.
Just as he was about to, her eyes opened. It was no longer that dark beautiful brown, it was now an empty grey. She leapt up and bit Mr Urswick's neck, his blood began rapidly spraying out of it. The first screams came from yellow section. Something else must have happened over there. Layla screamed in response to what happened to Ferdaous and Mr Urswick. Many began to scream after Layla and that was when the beginning of the end started.
Solomon realized what was happening but it was far too late. The only other people who could possibly know what's going on would be Cemilcan, Yahya, Gorkem and Sami; they had played the games or watched the show.
The Walking Dead.
It was now real.
Solomon pinched himself to check that he wasn't dreaming however he still remained in this nightmare. He looked at Cemilcan and the expression in his face made it clear that he also knew what was happening. He had gotten up and came towards Solomon.
"We need to get out of here, it has started. The zombie apocalypse," said Cemilcan.
"Get Gorkem and whoever you can and start filling your bags with food and drinks from the kitchen and find weapons," said Solomon through the screams and shouts.
He ran to yellow section to see who else had turned; he saw at least five dead bodies on the floor, about to be reanimated. Japheth began to strut towards Aman's table but he wasn't himself, he was now a walker. Solomon grabbed a plate to use to kill walkers. He was about to bite an unsuspecting Sami but Solomon pushed him out of the way and pounded the walker on the floor and began to smash his head in. The first blow done almost nothing, the second one the same but the third one managed to destroy the bridge of his nose and he continued smashing its face. With each blow, a large amount of blood splattered on Solomon's face and uniform. The last blow left Japheth's face unrecognizable; one of his eyes had gone and his brain was showing. Solomon stood up and vomited.
