17: A Woman's Lie

"Ano ba talagang gusto mong mangyari?" tanong ni James sa akin.

Nandito kami ngayon sa ilalim ng puno sa likuran ng girl's dorm. I literally dragged him here para walang makarinig ng usapan namin. I was giving him this last chance to fix our relationship, otherwise I'd go with the plan.

James looked so annoyed but I felt more enraged due to his lack of interest in this conversation. His hands were tucked inside the pockets of his pants as he looked away from me. Halatang hindi talaga interesado.

"You promised James. You promised na babalikan mo ako pagkatapos ng pustahan niyo ni Cadi." I said, pigil na pigil na huwag tumaas ang boses ko sa inis. "Don't tell me na-inlove ka na sa pangit na 'yun?"

"Na naman? Akala ko ba tapos na usapan tungkol kay Wren?" iritable niyang tanong.

"You're not answering my question, James."

"Hindi ko alam kung anong sinasabi mo," he casually said with a flat voice.

"How dare you toy with me?!" hindi ko na napigilang hindi sumigaw. "Pagsisisihan mo ito kapag hindi mo pa tinigilan si Wren!"

"Bakit anong gagawin mo kapag hindi ko siya tinigilan?" patawa-tawa niyang tanong. "Ako pang tinakot mo, napakarami yatang nakapila sa akin, haha."

"Jaaames!" I shouted his name in disbelief. "So, ano balewala na lang ba talaga ako sa'yo?"

"Ngayon mo lang na-gets?"

Grrr. Kasalanan itong lahat ni Wren. Kung hindi siya dumating sa pagitan namin ni James, hindi sana kami magkakaganito. I really hate that girl!

"This is your last chance, James. I'm giving you an ultimatum," pagbabanta ko sa kanya.

He answered me like my words meant nothing, "Oo na. Oo na. Kung wala ka ng sasabihin your highness, kailangan ko pang magpractice. Alam mo namang may gig kami bukas, diba?"

"You're gonna regret this."

Tumango siya, "Okay."

Sisigawan ko pa sana siya ng biglang magring ang phone ko. Sino naman kaya itong istorbo?

I took the phone and saw it was Spencer. Natulala ako dahil hindi ko magawang sagutin ang tawag niya.

"O sige na sagutin mo na yan. Since busy ka na sa mga boylets mo aalis na ko," sabi ni James.

"Ano bang pinagsasabi mo? Sayo lang ako interesado! Ikaw lang ang mahal ko!"

Tinalikuran lang niya ako, "Hay, oo na nga sabi. See you later."

"James!" I shouted his name once more pero hindi na siya muli pang lumingon. "If this is what you want, so be it!"

I looked at the screen of my mobile phone as I cursed James in my mind. I had given him so many chances already, how many more did he want from me? My patience had ran out.

"What?" I answered the call with an irritated voice.

Spencer answered with a laugh. "I think my baby needs some petting, am I right?" he asked.

I tried hard to stop myself from screaming. What's his deal? Did he think I was someone he could take lightly just like what James had been doing to me? "Whatever. What do you want?" I asked.

"Hey, hey. Are you having your period or what? Please say no.."

"What do you want Spencer?" I asked him again. Why couldn't he go straight to the point?

I heard him sighed, "I just want to see you, love."

I raised an eyebrow in disbelief. I couldn't believe this poor thing has fallen for me head over heels. "Really? Did you miss me that much? We just met yesterday, Spencer."
