**Jason's pov**

Sam moved in yesterday it was awesome i now had a proper friend living here and he thought I was cute I was happy with that I don't know why but no-one really seemed interested in me before. I asked him more about his dad the next day and his dad seemed good it was a shame I couldn't meet him but he might be coming down in the summer

I introduced Sam to everyone some took him as super cute but one kid wasn't to keen on the idea of having a "gay kid" living with us but that wasn't because he was homophobic but because his parents were and he felt like if he accepted it his parents would hate him but I told him he could make his own mind up and he and sam talked about it Sam understood so he said it's fine if you don't agree with it but please don't bully me cuz of it and he didn't he had no intention if doing so to be honest they had been playing football all day in the garden so they got along great

"What's on your mind" Sam asked me as we got into our beds

"My dad"

" Hm? "

"He and I used to go to the beach every weekend and I haven't been since he died two years ago so"

"Sooo why don't we go there? Maybe we could ask in the morning and go"

"I don't know..I"

" You're scared? "

"No" I growled

"Sorry.."

I don't know why I snapped probably cuz my nan always used to call me scared but of course I was every time I saw grandad he'd hurt me so yes i was always scared when I went round their place who wouldn't be?

"No I'm sorry I didn't mean to snap i just i don't know" really i just didn't want to explain it all to him because I'm sure he'd find it stupid

It was already lights out but we were aloud to stay up talking if we were quiet which we were because after I snapped at Sam he went to sleep, I really did want to ask Lorna if we could go to the zoo one day but I don't think she'd let us

"Mornin" I heard sam whisper in his deep voice

"Mornin" I coughed

"Do not tell me you have the flu"

" No I don't I just always cough in the morning "

"Oh ok"

"We should head down for breakfast" I mumbled before going off to get changed

"Mornin sam how did you sleep? Was it a good first night?"

I could tell sam was flustered by all the eyes on him so I quickly stepped in and answered for him

"He slept ok lorna little bit of a hiccup but nothing major" I smiled at Sam hoping he wouldn't be mad that I answered for him

"I'm sure he can talk for himself jason" marley snapped

"Get lost mar"

"I'm fine with him answering he was just trying to help" sam added before things got out of hand

For breakfast lorna had made pancakes she always makes pancakes when we have a new house mate I guess it was to ease them into it usually we'd have toast or sausages but pancakes were only for when we had a new arrival

"That was delicious thank you lorna" sam mumbled walking over to her, he was shy because some of the people here were really loud or really shy like him there was no inbetween

"Aww sweetie it's my pleasure" Lorna smiled before putting the dishes in the sink today it was marleys turn to clean the dishes and she had no problem with it marley was one of the nice ones here but every now and again she'd snap at people because of certain things like when someone talks over someone she'll put a stop to it because her mum and dad did that to each other all the time and she thinks that's why they got a divorce and what not

"Jason!" Sam called out

" yes? "

"Guess who's just got Lorna to take all of us to the beach this summer"

"No way!?"

" Yes way I am adorable she couldn't resist my charm"

I chuckled and went outside with sam marley and cameron we all played footie for a while but cameron had got stung by a wasp so we had to call it off and get him some help.

"Sam" lorna called out as we passed the office "may i have a word?"

" Uh sure " It was clear that Lorna wanted me out the way so I headed off up stairs to do some reading i wasn't really into books but this one was an a exception my dad had wrote it, It was about my sister that died in a fire yeah I had really bad luck my whole family ended up dying in really bad circumstances

About an hour went by before Sam came back up I put my book away and went over to the chair we had in our room

"What did Lorna want?"

" She wanted to see how I was getting on and she wanted to know if I was comfortable sharing a room with you i guess she thought that cuz this morning you answered for me and maybe she thought you were lying i don't know, but I told her it was all good and that you were just trying to help me out cuz I was too nervous to speak for myself"

"Oh cool I'd get it you know if you were uncomfortable with sharing a room with me after all I am a guy and you know you're.."

" Gay? " he snapped "you can say it you know it's not a bad word"

"I know! I just sorry"

"Whatever"

"No I am! I didn't mean it like that I just- if you did want to have a different room I'd understand but I really like having you here"

He smiled before heading off for a nap
