DISCLAIMER:
this is my very first book , i have literally never written on Wattpad but i have wanted to since 2018. i finally mustered up some (gay) thoughts and written them on here. and since may of 2019 i have started writing. this has taken me awhile because i keep re-writing this first chapter. i am very proud of myself so please don't tear me down entirely. if anybody has suggestions (or even reads this) please leave them in the comments. i will take constructive and positive feedback but please be polite as i can be extremely moody and sensitive. anyways, on with the story! enjoy!
also this is a very gay story, enjoi~
CHAPTER ONE:
"Nadine!" Mom calls for me. I want to ignore her, for no real reason.
"Yes, Mother?" I ask as I enter the kitchen. She points toward the family phone. I roll my eyes and pick it up.
"Hello, this is the Rose house, who is this?" I ask dumbfounded. My uncle replies in mutters I can't understand. I shrug and hand it to my Mom; who seems to not care to talk to him one bit. I shrug it off and trudge down to my room.
I prop my laptop back upwards and continue watching Netflix. Not a minute after the show starts I get a text.
"Ugh!" I groan out loud. I sit up as I see it's from my best friend, Neveah. I snap up and reply.
Hey! She writes.
I reply, Hey Nev! What's up?
She takes a minute to reply. Nothing much, I'm really bored. Can you come over tonight? I have to talk to you about a lot.
I look up from the phone as my head drifts to dark places. I lift my sleeve to see my cuts are starting to fade. I reply with a Sure and grab my bag.
I shove random clothes in it and rush out the door to run a block and arrive at Neveah's house within five minutes.
"I'm home! Where's my hug, bitch?" I yell as I open the door. She's clearly home alone since nobody yells at my rude language.
Neveah comes running down the stairs with no warning and shoves me into a hug. I laugh and hug her in return. I ignore the thoughts that always run through my mind when I meet Neveah.
They're new and weird, but I try to push them back.
:-:
"I have a lot to talk about, you just have to promise me that you will never tell anybody. It's super personal." Neveah says as I wrap my pinky around hers.
"You can trust me, Nev. We've only been besties since the second we were born," I say faithfully. Neveah smiles truly, pulling back a strand of her perfectly straight ash brown hair, and starts explaining.
"So, first I have to say that my parents don't know about this but I plan to tell them soon." She says. I nod my head, finally realizing this is really big.
"I-I'm gay. Well, lesbian." She says quietly and quickly. I smash my teeth together to keep my jaw from dropping.
"I fully support you, Neveah," I finally say after collecting my thoughts. She smiles, nervous and unsure.
"I promise, Neveah. You know I support lgbt anyways, there's no way in hell that you being lesbian could keep me from being your best friend." I say.
She looks down and I can tell there's more to the story.
"What else?" I ask. She looks up, surprised I noticed.
"I don't know if I should say it." She says. I keep my offended words and shove them down my throat.
"I will never judge you, Nev, I'm right here. You know that nothing could keep us from getting through life together. Best friends or not, I'm always here for you!" I say as collected as I can.
She finally sighs and lets it out as quiet as she can.
"I like you, Nadine."
