Jack

Chapter 2

Sian's P.O.V

Ever since Kevin dropped the bombshell, the room has been silent but pretty intense. Soph is leaning on the kitchen side for support with her mouth wide open in shock.

"No Dad." She suddenly speaks up.

"Please Soph, I wouldn't ask if I hadn't thought it through."

"Dad, I am with Sian, I love Sian. I can't just forget about Sian and bring your baby up." Why would she have to forget about me?

"You don't need to, you can both bring him up..Please?" He sounds so desperate.

"Sian wouldn't want to stay with me if I was tied to a baby that's not ours."

"Is that what you think?" I'm not angry, just a little hurt that she thought I wouldn't want to have children with her.

"I don't know, would you?"

"Look Soph, Jack is such a good kid. We can't exactly have children together so why not consider it? What if it is what's best for him?"

"She's right Soph, you two are brilliant with that baby anyway. We'd do it legally and everything, making you both his legal guardians."

"I suppose Jack does need to come first.. and we could provide better for him. But we're only 16 Sian."

"Yeah, and? You're 17 in 2 weeks, I'm 17 in just over a month. You work in Dev's, I can get a part time job. We can do it Sophie." I actually quite like the idea of bringing a baby up.

"Ok, but what about college? We can't just quit Sian."

"We wouldn't have to Soph, we can sort childcare out. Your Dad could even look after him."

"I don't know about that Sian, I could handle seeing him but not looking after him on my own. If we did this, he would be your child, not mine." Kevin finally speaks again.

"What do we tell Jack though Dad?"

"We can all speak to him when he's older. What d'you say then girls?"

"Sian, if you're sure you want to then ok, we'll do it. If not then we won't because I want to be with you."

"Then yes Kevin, we'll do it." I'm slightly excited if I'm honest.

"Thankyou so much girls, will you be ok to take over from today? I could go to pick his things up in a minute if you want." Kevin looks really relieved.

Sophie's P.O.V

I look over at Sian asking her what she wants to do using just my eyes and can see that she's happy. She wants to do this which makes me happy and love her even more.

"Leave Jack here and go pick his bits up then. Don't forget anything though Dad." He's already at the front door which tells me he feels better about doing this than bringing Jack up himself. Turning to look at Sian, I notice that she has picked baby Jack up out of his car seat and she has an ear to ear grin as she talks to him. My heart might actually melt if I see this everyday.

Don't know what I think of this part really, just wanted to get onto writing about him actually living with the girls.
