Preface

Paige has always had two-toned eyes, their irises having rings of distinctive differing color from an outer ring which in Paige’s case are a deep vibrant blue, to a middle ring of dark purple before having another ring around the pupil of the same blue, her family knew what it meant but they never told her. She had heard from her sisters Fran and Sophie who shared her peculiar eyes, of the rumors about humans with supernatural powers, and that their very powerful. But it’s their eyes that make them distinctive because they are two-toned and can be any colour, not just the usual blue, green, brown, etc.

Paige thought if she was going to have powers, they would’ve manifested a long time ago already when she was younger, not now in the bloom of her life. That’s why everyone treats her different, but she always told them that she doesn’t have any powers and that she thinks it’s a lie based on rumors, because, well, she really didn’t have any powers!

Paige always had a lot on her mind, due to her parents preferring her sisters over her, she was always the one left out. She never felt like she belonged there. Arguments over her sisters being treated better were common to their household.

This was a big factor in her deciding to move out on her own, with her one true friend, her cat Stan. Leaving her old life behind, she finds a cheap apartment and joins a new school to finish her final year.

Little did she know, who she met in that school, would change her and her life forever.
