Chapter 4: Carmen's Face
The next morning, Carmen woke up dazed and confused. It was like she was hungover, but remembered a few things from the day before. Something about Alli, Kik Messenger and a very pretty green haired boy named Michael.
And "The Gang."
Carmen turned over in her bed and reached for her phone. Looking at her notification flooded lock screen, she remembered it all.
Alli had introduced her to some of her internet friends named Maya, Addy, Luke, Calum, Ashton and Michael.
They seemed nice. Well, nice enough. They bickered a lot. Out of them all, her favourites were probably Michael, Addy and Maya. They were funny, andーlike I said beforeーCarmen liked anyone with a good sense of humour.

She swiped the message on her lock screen and opened the app.
iCarmen: I'm not a newbie. (read)

She didn't think he meant that. Carmenーbeing herselfーhad to choose a selfie that she hadn't used before. She wanted to take one on the spot, but her bed head held her back.
Scrolling through her extensive camera roll, she found the perfect one. Yeah, it was filtered, but it wasn't Michael, so Calum would have to deal with it.
Once she knew it was the perfect one, instead of going back to her private chat with Calum, she clicked on the group-chat.
