subway boy. ; jungwoo kim

today was the day my brother was gonna visit me so i stayed at the subway station waiting intently. there was an unusual wave of a huge crowd standing near the subway like there was like a celeb coming here.
it's pretty unusual to see alot of people since not alot of people take this subway station. i just wondered my thoughts of it elsewhere and i continued and continued to wait.
i saw the crowd flash their phones out with their faces desperately trying to record what had come.

my phone buzzed indicating that i got a text from my brother dowoon.

sis, r u there outside
the subway?

yeah i am rn and there's so
many people here idk why

i see well, be careful ok?

yeah

well, I'm pretty near rn so get ready

I shut down my phone the same time the subway doors opened and i could see my brother waving at me like a little boy. i nodded and stood up and walked nearer. i then saw a familiar face on the other side of the subway.

jungwoo saw me and tried to say "hi" but before he could greet me, the wave of people knocked me down and i groan as i try to get up to find my brother. i hear loud screams of the crowd and it made me really dizzy.

as i look up, a hand reached out to me and pulled me back up. i see jungwoo and some two other boys beside jungwoo and the security guards.
the wave of people backed up because of the security blocking us. the 2 other boys looked oddly
familiar to my eyes, one was taller than jungwoo and one was shorter. i shrugged it off and went my business.

then, i saw my brother getting sandwiched by the crowd and the security. my brother dowoon yelled at the security to let him in so that he can come with me.

as the boys remain unbothered,i needed to go get my brother to prevent him from getting lost.

jungwoo looked at me and saw the worried expression on my face and asked ” are you okay?”
”i— uh my brother is out there, please help me.” i pleaded as i put my hands inside my pocket.

jungwoo then signalled the security to follow me.

i looked at the crowd and saw his distinguished figure in between the crowd and the security. as i grew closer, i pulled him in a tight embrace.

”okay! you can let go now i cant breath any further.” he exclaimed while panting.
”c’mon, let's get ya outta here.” i stated as I pulled him with me.

jungwoo looked to see my relieved look and mouthed at me saying ” there's a shortcut at the corner of the subway, escape there.” he pointed.

as he mouthed the words, me and my brother quickly headed to the secluded direction and finally were free from the crowded place.

half of the security fled the station with us and I thanked jungwoo afterwards.

as we got out, we took a taxi on the way. i signalled the taxi’s on the road and we got in. i told the driver the address of the house and the driver nodded quickly. I pointed at some of the memorial parks and tourist places as we passed by. my brother seems to look not suprised, since he's not into this kind of things but I was. a travel geek. literally, if i traveled in all of the countries in the world i would be a sucker for the parks and monuments. a few minutes later, we finally arrived at the familiar neighborhood and pointed at my house ” that's where you'll be staying for the past 5 days.” i shouted to my brother, him not looking that suprised. ” that is 16,500 won ma’am. the driver reminded paitently. i then took out the said amount and quickly gave it to the driver.
we finally stood up outside the gate and i quickly opened it, heading to my wooden door.
” ta - daaa¡!” i exclaimed while doing exaggerated hand gestures. we went in and i signalled him to go take a seat, i saw him sitting on the couch sighing deeply.
"urgh, that was one hell of a ride” dowoon said as he planted his hands on his face.
”too many people in one place” i said as i took out some coconut water.
dowoon nodded .
