Chapter 29 ● Wait What?! ○

Calum wakes up after an hour or so. He's never felt a craving for something as much as he does right now. He knows what he wants but he's afraid of having it. He doesn't want to hurt anyone but he's going to have to, isn't he? He needs blood...

"You know what you want go get it" Darren tells Calum. "Not here" he replies. "But there's so much choice here" he responds to him. "I am not gonna drink human blood" he responds back to him. "Oh yes you are" he replies to him. "You can't make me" he responds to him.

So I'm transitioning into vampire now... that means if I don't drink blood by the end of the day I'll be dead... gone forever... I can't drink blood though because once I start I won't be able to stop myself... I would have to survive upon killing or hurting others for the rest of my life. This is such a catch 22 situation... I will need to make a decision soon though... Calum thinks to himself.

"Come on pick someone, anyone, if you don't choose soon I'll pick someone for you" Darren tells Calum. "I don't think I want to be a vampire" he replies. "You need to be a vampire though Calum, think about all the things you will miss if you died" he tries to convince Calum to be a vampire. "Stop trying to make this more difficult for me" he replies to him. "You'll have stronger senses, you'll be able to get your way in situations and you'll be faster" he continues to try convincing him. "That's a few of the pros but there's more cons in me becoming a vampire than the pros you just stated" he replies to him.

So he's not as smart as I thought he was... he's an idiot... maybe he's just smart in some ways... like self defence... but when it comes to risk taking decisions he's not that smart from what I've seen so far... it's interesting how "playing games" as Darren likes to call it can help you figure out a lot about someone. Cade thinks to himself.

What the hell is Cade up to now? He's still messing with Calum, isn't he? I thought he was over that... well I guess I was wrong... he lied... why can't he just admit he's playing games too? I need to find out why he's doing this and then stop him before he takes things too far... I can't let him ruin everything I have planned... I will not let him get in the way of what I'm doing... I already have Daphne to deal with... I don't want to have to deal with him as well. Darren thinks to himself.

"You are gonna turn into a vampire no matter what and I'm gonna make sure it happens" Darren tells Calum. "You can't make that decision for me" he replies to him. "Of course I can" he responds to him.

I can't let Darren even try to take control of my decisions like this... he could make me do something awful I would never ever want to do... I need to defend myself from him... Calum thinks to himself.

"You've got a room full of people just pick someone, anyone or I shall pick for you and I'm telling you, you would hate my choice" Darren tells Calum. "I'm not gonna do it" he replies in a somewhat annoyed tone. "Come on puppy" he responds. "No" he responds back. "Fine then I'll choose for you" he replies to him.

Darren strolls around the nightclub. He spots Calum's best friends. He goes up to them. "Calum needs blood. Which one of you are gonna give it to him?" He asks the three of them. "You turned him?!" Ashton asks him in a surprised tone. "Well he's not yet a full vampire but he's almost there" he replies to him. "Who volunteers?" He asks. "Why us?" Michael asks. "Cause you guys are close to him" he replies. "Where is he?" Luke questions. "Follow me" he answers. "Don't go" Ashton tells Luke seeing as he was about to follow Darren.

Luke doesn't listen to Ashton and follows Darren anyway. Ashton gets annoyed with him and ends up following him too. Michael follows after since he didn't know what else to do. Darren eventually leads the three of them to Calum.

"Don't come too close to me" Calum tells his friends. "Take your pick" Darren tells Calum an evil smirk forming on his lips. "I'm not gonna hurt any of them" he replies to him. "The room is yours choose anyone else in the room or I'll make you choose one or all of them" he responds to him. "Don't listen to him" Ashton tells Calum. "You do know if he doesn't drink blood by the end of today he dies right?" He asks them. The three of them nod.
