Is It To Late? (Tododeku)

Chapter Eight

Midoriya's POV

The three of us (Iida, Uraraka, and I) sat down at the table where Leo had sat. We started to eat and I noticed Leo didn't have a lunch. Maybe he woke up late and forgot his wallet and forgot to pack one. He looks awfully skinny though.

"Aren't you gonna eat something?" I asked him.

"No, I'm good." He quickly responded.

I know it too early in the year to start worrying about my classmates I just met. BUT I'm gonna worry any way. Might as well.

"Are you sure? I don't eat this much anyway. It would go to waste." I said while waving some food in front of him.

"I said I'm fine." He respond while pulling a book out of his bag. I could see the cover from where I was sitting, so I couldn't really talk about it.

Is he avoiding me? Already?

He didn't seem to want to talk to anybody, so I left him alone. For now I will figure him out eventually. I took this time to get to know my other classmates.

Todoroki's POV

Why does he care if I eat? Why can't he leave me alone. I don't wanna hurt him. If he finds out why I'm here, he'll be more than just hurt. Tomura would kill him. I don't want that.

I brought a book to lunch to work on my reading since thats not at the level of should be, I can use that to help ignore Midoriya. So I got my book out, it wasn't a reading level I was proud of so I hid the cover. It was I little kids book, but still it was harder than what I could read before the league caught me. The book was okay, but the plot was simple. To be expected in a children's book.

I continued to read until the bell rang.  We walked back to the classroom together. But they seemed... closer. Like they had known each other their entire lives. I sat through English class, bored out of my mind. Not understanding most of the lesson I give up and start to draw. Soon class was over. Every one started talking about everything the room got so loud. I got up and started to put all my stuff away, but I was interrupted as Midoriya walked over.

"Hey, Leo you w-wanna hang out with us tonight?" He asked while fidgeting with his fingers motioning to his new group of friends.

"Sorry but I have to get home. Maybe another time." I respond. He seems so disappointed, I was too. But I didn't want Tomura mad with me this early in the mission.

"O-oh, okay."  He said ashe walked away to his friend group. I continued to pack my belongings and started to walk to the alleyway Kurogiri dropped me off in. Once I was there I pulled out the phone Tomura gave me, powered it on and texted him.

Not to long after, Kurogiri's warp gate opened up in front of me and I walked through it. It brought be to the bar. Every one was there waiting for me. They wanted news, strategies, and information to use against U.A. and the heroes. Unfortunately for me I didn't have anything to tell them.

"Learn anything useful, brat?" Tomura asked.

"Um n-no?" I stuttered. I was was scared he would kill me.

"If you're not going to be useful, then we should end you. It would be one less mouth to feed." Tomura growled back to me.

"I'm sure he will find something useful to us. Just give him a little time." Dabi defended me.

"Like hell we should I wanna stab him! If you keep standing up for Shoto, than Shiga won't let me touch him!" Toga screamed.

If she had her way I'd be tied up and kept barely alive. I really didn't like her.

"I will find something! I just need some time. It was only my first day, I'm still trying to find my way around campus." I pleaded.

"One week. If you donot have anything significant in one week I will give you to Toga. She will be free to do whatever she wants and Dabi can't protect you from that if he's tied up. It not just your life on the line now Shoto." He growled and signaled almost discreet enough for me not to notice, to Kurogiri.

And with that villians burst through the warp gate and grab Dabi. He tries to fight back but before he has a chance to activate his quirk a villian drugs him. He quickly loses consciousness and collapses to the ground.

"No, no, no Dabi!" I screamed.

"He will be just fine if you do your job." Tomura explained to me. As the villians started to drag Dabi way. They lead him towards padded cell at the end of the hall. They opened the door threw Dabi in and slammed it shut. Locking all the locks on the door.
