CHAPTER 3

"Where're you going Genevieve? It's  freezing outside. Grab your coat at least." "But daddy I-," I was interrupted by Mr Charming over here," Don't worry sir I'll take care of her. C'mon short stuff, lead the way!" ,and he followed like the trusted bodyguard I didn't need. As much as I want to be alone, I'll make an exception because well...., I like him.

Daddy insisted I take my coat since it was raining, but I really wasn't that cold. "Are you gonna keep ignoring me or will you say something?" "Huh!?What? Sorry I...I wasn't listening," Dummy. "These voices won't leave me alone. I figured a walk would help, I guess that made no difference. The medication, they were supposed to work but they don't. Your dad, my doctor, he said my condition might be untreatable," I begin to cry,"and I...I can't control them most days." I say in between my silent sobs. Sniffling I manage to say,"Daddy says you offered to stay with us so that you could keep an eye on me. Why? I'm old enough to watch myself. Or is 21 not old enough for you?" with that I smiled and nudged his arm slightly.

A sparkle of some sort flashes in his eyes and before I can say 'Mississippi'', I was being lifted off the ground and carried back to the house. "Wha-What are you doing?" The shock must've been written all over my face because he shot me an apologetic smile but said nothing. I guess he too can't help but shut out my madness. I don't blame him. What are you doing? He could be taking you someplace else to kill you and you're just letting him!? "Its not like I have a choice, he's carrying me for gods sake. And besides,...he's too sexy to resist. I mean who would pass up a free ride?"
"Let me guess," he gave a little flash of his pearly whites,and continued,"the voices again?" "Yepp." Damn this Sexy-God-Damned-Greek-Demon. "You must really enjoy saying your thoughts aloud hmmm." "What?! No I do not. How on earth would I be able to stop their ranting without a chorus?!! It's not like you have a solution."

"In fact, I do." There's that breath-taking, lord save my soul- smirk. "A-and wha-wha-wh-...," fuck "... AND WHAT WOULD THAT BE?" Nice going Vee. You ruined the moment. Hoorah!"You're adorable you know that? Even if you're crazy,I don't care." Did he just? Nah,he couldn't have. Wait he did. Oh cheese fries!! He cares. For me. But why? WHY??! "Are you feeling okay? You look a bit pail.",Adam asks very concerned. "I'm fine just the voices again." Hehehehehe.Hahahahaha.EEEEEEEEEK! Just shoot me now. It'll save us both the trouble of this humiliation.

"Eerrh,Adam..?"

"Yeah?"

"Could you uhmm...put me down please?"

"Aaww,but you feel so good in my arms",and then he gave me the puppy dog face. Why does he have to look so gorgeous?

"Fine! You can carry me. Not because you look so cute right now but because I don't wanna walk."

"Oki doki then.",....Wink.

Once we got back home dad wasn't there. He left a note on the fridge,as usual, saying that he went out to get some more milk and cheese, along with my favourite popcorn,feta and black pepper. Yummm!

"Erhh hey Adam. Do you uhmm...wanna come upstairs and watch a movie or something?"

"Yeah sure. Just let me grab my bag from the living room."

"Okay",this is gonna be a long night. Great.
