Finding Our Fate

Just want to make a few things clear before I start writing.

I said Carly and Lana were based off of two of my closest friends, which they are. These characters will not be 100% exactly like these 2 girls. But they will be as close as I can manage to get. I obviously did not use my friends real names. These girls are 100% aware I'm basing some of my characters off of them. I talk to them about this. But there is someone else a character is based off of and every personality trait came straight from his girlfriend. I am not trying to embarrass or hurt or make these girls and this guy look like bad people.

Tyler and Kalika (Sam and Carly) are both very caring people. I do not know Tyler personally but I did not want Kalika to feel like I'm not happy that she's dating him. I am. She knows this. And that's why I wanted to include her. If she had said not to include him, I would not have done it. Kalika is one of my best friends and I see her as a sister. So I wanted to make that clear.

As for Kayleigh (Lana), she is another best friend that I see as a sister. Now her character is dating a lightskin boy. There is not other underlying reason other than that's just the kind of guys she has a thing for. I do not mind making a few of my characters different races, especially if that means my best friend can feel like I accept everything about her.

Now, with all that being said, this book is inspired by another book that I just finished reading again for the 100th time. I absolutely adore this book. It's called Gone by Michael Grant. It's a really good book and it's fairly interesting.
