Sara sprang up in bed, breaking out in a sweat. Ava, her girlfriend, lying beside her, turned over and comforted her.

"Hey, hey, hey," Ava said putting her hand on Sara's stomach as she lied back down.

Sara held Ava's hand. She knew something was wrong. She just didn't want to tell Ava.

"Is everything okay?" Ava asked.

"No," Sara said. "It hasn't been okay for a while."

"You should have told me," Ava said calmly putting her hand on Sara's shoulder.
"I just. I didn't want to scare you. I love it here in D.C. with just you and still being able to do my job."

"I know. But we need to find John. He might be able to help you."

Sara pulled the blanket over her head. "No. Please don't. He probably doesn't want anything to do with me."

Ava pulled the blanket off of Sara's face. She gave her the begging look that she would give Sara any time she really wanted something.

"Fine," Sara said rolling her eyes.

"Thank you," Ava said giving Sara a kiss on the forehead as they went back to sleep.

That morning Ava stayed in bed with Sara until she woke up just to make sure she was okay. Once Sara woke up, they both headed to the kitchen for coffee and breakfast. When they were done they got dressed and headed to the Waverider to tell the team they were going to be on their own for a while.

"Zari, I'm leaving you in charge. Everyone else. Just please don't blow up the ship." Sara said.

Sara and Ava headed to the jump ship. Ava stopped Sara just before they boarded.

"Are you sure you're okay with this?" Ava asked taking Sara's hands into her own.

"Yeah. I thought it over last night and we need to figure out what's wrong with me." Sara said squeezing Ava's hands.

Ava and Sara kissed and then boarded the jump ship.
