Chapter 7 - I'm Okay

POV Courtney
    I felt broken because of what happened. Never in my life have I wanted so badly to curl up in a ball and cry but also just go run and scream. I knew I was the one who broke up with him but that doesn't mean I didn't love him for some time. Walking into work I knew I would need to see Olivia as soon as I could. I needed to tell her everything.
    "Hey Court" Olivia waved from her desk as I walked in. I skipped over to her desk with a smile.
    "Liv Liv I need to talk to you" I said grabbing her hand and dragging her away. I pulled her into the bathroom and checked to see if anyone was there.
    "Hey what's up Courtney is everything okay?"
    "It's more than okay. I did Olivia. I moved everything out and he's out of my life now."
"Courtney that's amazing I'm so happy. We need to go out and do something. I'll treat you to dinner" she said jumping up and down. I watched her happily dancing yet I still couldn't shake what I saw yesterday. I didn't want to be sad but I was and Olivia noticed. "Hey what's wrong?"
"Yesterday Damien helped me to move and I saw Jake with another girl. I know I'm the one that ended things but I just can't believe he was able to move on so fast" I said running my fingers through my hair.
    "Hey it's normal to feel that way. You were together for a while. If you're not okay we can go have a girls day" Olivia said putting a hand on my shoulder. I shook my head.
    "I'm okay I promise. However a girls day sounds amazing."
"Okay so we'll go have a girls day tomorrow after work. I'll plan it out and you can stay the night. This is gonna be so fun" Olivia said dancing out of the bathroom. I chuckled at her following soon after. I bumped into someone and looked up to see Damien.
"Oh hey Damien" I said with a big smile.
"Hey Courtney" he said as I began to walk to the office I felt him grab my hand. "Hey are you doing okay" he asked with worried eyes. I took in a deep breath.
"Yeah I actually am doing really good now" I said and I meant it. I was actually pretty happy. "Well I have some stuff to shoot so I'll see you at home."
"Yeah I'll see you at home" he said waving to me with a smile.

A short chapter but the next one will be better.
