Alex and I were at the movies, on a double date with his best friend Sam and my best friend Carly. Alex and I had been dating for 3 years and Carly and Sam had been dating for 2. We all started out as best friends and now we were all dating someone from our little circle. Carly and I were the 2 most popular cheerleaders at our high school while Sam was the most popular soccer player and Alex was the bad boy in the group. Alex also played football.
We were on an after school date, our usual game night routine, so Carly and I were wearing our cheer uniforms and the guys were in their respective sports uniforms, since we just met up after a last minute practice like we always did.

"Does something feel........not right to you guys?" Carly asked.
"It's a little weird that none of the movie theater employess are here. But they're probably just in the back or whatever."
Sam took Carly's hand and, although he tried to hide it, you could see tge worry in his eyes.
"Carly's right. None of the adult employess are here. Just the 2 behind the counter, who can't be much older than us."
Alex and Sam finally stopped the jokes they'd been telling and looked around.
"Yeah. That's strange."
"Very. Come on. Let's get out of here."
"To where?"
I hated to admit it, but even I didn't know where we should go.
"Well, we could go to my house. Or the stadium. Alex has a game tonight. So maybe the football coach is there."
We all agreed on the stadium, so that's where we went.

Once we got there, we noticed the football coach's car, but he wasn't there.
"That's weird. He wouldn't just leave his car here. That's a $20,000 car."
"Alex, go see if he's inside. Sam, you go with him. Carly and I will see if our cheer coach is here. She should be."
The guys ran one direction. We ran in the other.
