James' POV

This was the dumbest idea I've ever thought of. Seriously what was I thinking when I said yes to Nikita's invitation? Why must I be so dumb at the worst times in my existence.

Alone I sit at a table in the furthest corner of the party. I invited more than just Drew to this and said others were having the greatest time of their lives in the middle of the dance floor.

"Drink?"

I jump from surprise before turning around. One of the workers brings a tray of drinks to my attention and with a nod of gratitude I take one before turning my focus back to my group of friends.

This party is definitely good and fresh, I've made plans with so many YouTubers it's crazy. Nikita may have pulled off one of the biggest YouTube parties of the year.

'And here I am depressed in a freaking corner'

The music is overbearingly loud, I'm sure I'd still be able to hear it blaring if I had the guts to walk away from the building. Usually I thrive in this sort of setting, I try, sometimes fail, to be the life of the party. I at least have fun, I dance and definitely sing.

'So what's stopping you now'

Freaking Grayson Bailey Dolan, that's what's stopping me now. The once confused beating feeling in the back of my mind is now an all too loud pulse that can't be ignored. Rather than being confused it's, I don't really know. Nervous? Determined? It's a mix of so many things, I can't sort through it all.

Safe to say, all of these jumbled emotions have seriously hindered my partying skills.

"James! Why the hell are you being a loser?" Drew's drunk self latches onto me, resulting to a spilled drink all over the table. That was a pretty good drink, shame.

'Underaged drinking equals a YouTube party'

"Drew what the hell, you made me spill my drink." I pout while looking at my now almost empty drink.

"James, stop being antisocial. What happened to my favorite sister?"

'Your favorite sister is figuring out just how strong a soulmate connection is'

"Your favorite sister has a headache and now wants a new drink."

Drew wraps his arms around me in defiance before whining loudly in my ear,
"But James—"

"No buts, shoo go to auntie Cassie." I carefully remove Drew's arms from around my neck and push him into her direction. Cassie and Laura are currently having the time of their lives dancing on the floor and Drew deserves to have some of that fun too.

Drew sighs in defeat before walking in their direction. It only takes seconds for him to shake off whatever bitter feelings he had and start dancing, not good dancing but I really can't judge.

'Victorious'

"Time to refill my drink." I slowly get up from my seat and groan when I realize that the bar is on the other side of this hefty crowd.

'I forgot how it felt like to be the awkward outsider at a party. Everything and everyone is kinda irritating me and it is totally not good neither is it fresh'

With a determined shake of my head I grab my empty cup and start my unpredictable journey through the crowd. A variety of bodies are squished together, moving along with the heavy beat of the music and I find myself getting knocked around many times. I've even felt a few wondrous hands on my ass, surprisingly enough.
