Undisclosed Desires By Muse
I know you've suffered
But I don't want you to hide
It's cold and loveless
I won't let you be denied
"Draco, come on, let me in." you called through the first-floor female lavatory door. He had been shut up in there all day now and had locked the door. Hah. You wouldn't resort to busting the door down though, no matter how much you wanted too. It wouldn't help if you did, he would just push you away like he had been doing for several weeks.
You were honest to whatever God there might be to be patient with your muleheaded friend but you had been standing here for hours trying to get him to come out or let you in.
"Go away,(Name)! I don't want you here!" He screamed back. You forgot how many times you had heard that in the past two hours, and on some level it broke your heart and on another it only made you want to get in there and see why the hell he was so- t-this!
"I don't care, I want to be here!" You retorted slapping your palms on the door again. They were sore from repeatedly pounding them on the wooden slab, you sighed with frustration before rubbing your thumb into the opposite palm trying to quell the ache shooting through them.
There was silence for a long time, other than the occasional sniffling. You turned around and pressed your back to the door and you stayed like that until you heard a click. It wasn't very loud, but you had to keep yourself from shouting with joy, someone stop the clock he's opened the door!
You waited for a moment, curious as to whether he was coming out or if he wanted you to come in.You had been waiting for a long time so you just pushed it open and stepped into the threshhold of the bathroom. You noticed immiedetly Mrytle was nowhere to be found,
'Good,' you thought. The next thing your (E/C) eyes landed on was Draco.
There he was, leaning up against the sinks with his knees pulled up to his chest and head resting on top of them. You slowly walked in, closing the door again behind yourself. You just now realized what an awkward position you put yourself in, you'd never been too great at comforting people. Your response to whatever their problem might be was either delayed or nonexistent. Draco didn't want you here anyways, but since you were a good friend the least you could do was try.
Draco didn't mean that though, he would've loved nothing more than to hold you right now. To tell you how much you meant to him, but that's exactly why he couldn't. He didn't want you caught up in this, he couldn't loose you. You were, by the loosest definition, a good girl and he didn't want to change that.
"Draco?" You asked, sitting down on your knees beside him and placing your hand on his shoulder. He jerked away at your attempt to comfort him,
"Don't touch me," He growled defensively, and you retracted your hand in the slightest. Not out of surprise, but caution. You didn't think he would hit you, sure he's said some pretty foul stuff but really the two of you were the best of friends. Then again, you never thought Draco would cry either, he was full of surprises today.
"Draco, what's wrong with you?" You asked in a pleading sense with you hands clasped in your lap, seeing him sobbing in the confines of a bathroom like a broken hearted school girl made you feel like crying too. and After all you two had been through together, did he still not trust you?
"None of your concern," He choked out, burying his face in his hands now instead of in between his knees and shaking his head. You placed your hand on his shoulder again, fingers lightly brushing against the side of his neck.
