So there I was thinking of a way to get out of this situation time seemed to stand still if only for a moment but I still had to think quickly I could use the chains but it might take too long and I'd be as good as dead. I need to think of a better way to get out of this situation but what could I use or do then it suddenly hit me I know exactly what to do.
I put my hands up and around his neck with the chains also going around his neck and I used a technique called by most an Elven form of Martial arts of my strength to get him up and over so that he wouldn't cut my neck I then twisted his arm and took the knife I held it against his throat.
"Now...Where is this....Sacred Amulet!?" I said in between breathes I was beginning to get impatient with him "tell me where it is and I'll give you a quick death which I swear is going to be more than you deserve!"
"Alright alright fine it's located in the Enchanted Lands but you might know it as The Enchanted Forest but be very wary there are creatures there that don't particularly like your kind... Elf!" he spat the last word out and I snapped his neck he definitely deserved a slow death like hanging or something like that... That was until the dungeon door opened.
Rolwin P.O.V
We ended up somewhat near the dungeon but we did get lost at least five times this city's huge and I mean enormous and I've been pretty much all over the place in this damned realm but enough about that we finally made it to the dungeon doors which was located Northwest of the stables by a good few miles.
I commanded Lieutenant Wolfe "to wait outside while I talk with the prisoner."
"But sir I can't guarantee that the prisoner that you want to speak to will know about the Shadow we've been trying to get her to speak about the Amulet but she didn't even know what that was or why she needs it. Sir with respect you would be wasting your time with her."
"You could be right but she might have been playing dumb or perhaps I could have another use for her. Thank you Lieutenant but that shall be all."
As I entered the dungeon I looked to my left to find that she had killed her cell mate and all that was there was a twisted corpse she looked at me and said" What brings a follower of the Prophetess here?"
I was amazed that she seemed to even recognise me but that was until she stood up and pointed to the sigil on my armour which bears my Prophetess' mark I laughed a little rubbing the back of my neck awkwardly.
" I came here to question you or your friend there" I said while pointing at the corpse. "but I guess you beat me to it well that saved him from an execution" as I said the last word I couldn't help but notice her ears twitch a little.
"I need to ask you about the Amulet and where it's located as I am assuming that you questioned him before you executed him."
"Yeah I questioned him but I'm not telling you anything until you get me out of here."
I thought for a moment about whether or not I should trust her I mean when we're out in the open she could betray after all she is with the Shadow now but if I don't take her with me then I might as well give up on trying to stop The Shadow ahh screw it I'm deciding to trust her.
"Can I borrow this prisoner?"
"Uhh sure but for how long as I need to tell the commander." he said before I knocked him out.
"Well I guess we should probably leave before the other guards find him don't you? But first get me out of this cell!" she said with a hint of annoyance and the desperation to be free.
I grabbed the keys from the dungeon guard and unlocked her cell and the chains however not the cuffs I trust about as far as I could throw her for now.
"OK well let's get out of here we should probably take a more low profile approach so that we don't get spotted by Kraxus and his men"
"Wait... Kraxus!?"
"you know him?"
"Yeah we have a history of sorts he only torched my whole village and made them slaves all because of this so called 'forge' that he was searching for and more than likely still is!"
"I didn't know" I said with a hint of sympathy for the Elf.I was asking questions about her people and what exactly happened there that day until I noticed that we were almost at the gate that was until we were spotted by the sentries as well as scouts the Elf prepared herself for a fight and I put my hand on the hilt of my sheathed sword as there was a saying that a wise man once told me 'the sword should be the last thing you should go for as it makes you a bigger target' I smiled at that thought.
We were completely surrounded on all sides I don't know if we'll be able to make it out alive.
