You're still in there (Draco Malfoy X Slytherin!Reader)
Draco latched onto your arm and slammed you against the stack of books. You bit your tongue to keep from screaming from impact, so hard it bled into your mouth leaving a metallic taste imprinted in your brain. It wasn't like you weren't used to it by now, blood was something you often saw and it's taste seemed to leak into your mouth through your ears. Most of the time your own, you had a knack for running into things or getting into bad situations.Like now for example.
You vision spun as you heard him shout commands to his two lackeys, who scampered away. His voice wasn't normal though, it sounded monotonous and dead to you. You gained your bearings again,
/this is no time to assess his voice,(name) think!/
You stood up and grabbed your wand off the ground so you could walk forward while his back was turned. He whipped around, grabbing onto the end of your (Loose/Braided) hair. Yanking forward before he threw you back against the books, the tower lurched and you felt yourself stiffen. If those books fell, you'd be crushed no doubt and it would be painful.Much more painful than the killing curse.
Draco fumbled for his wand for a second and before you could register what he was doing it was pointed at your chest. You could even consider it pointed at your heart, the very organ that supposedly belong to him.
"Stupid, petty, childish," You muttered, trying to shove your feelings into a box up inside your head. He was trying to kill you, you couldn't let that happen. Self-preservation,right? Right? RIGHT?
Your other hand clutched the sleeves of the black, leather jacket that was frayed around the edges and came down slightly past your tail bone,as a way of finding something stable to hang onto. It was zipped up only slightly beneath your collar bone, which revealed that underneath it was a plain (F/C) t-shirt. Your jacket was accompanied by faded dark grey jeans and a thick brown belt with a clasp shaped like a snake. It was your way of carrying around the Slytherin name even in the muggle world, you always found it kind've funny you did that.
You were afraid, you concluded with a gulp. It had been a long time since you felt afraid, the last time you felt afraid was- you don't even remember. Fear was something you weren't used too, you only had a few fears. Heights, which you had overcome by joining the quidditch team in your third year at Hogwarts.Fire, you were fascinated with it and at the same time it haunted you like a ghost. The past, you were also afraid of your past. The fire that nearly destroyed your life, it did actually, killed your mother, father and older sister in one fatal swoop. Though, you never stopped to thank it, in a way it changed you. If it hadn't happened, maybe you wouldn't have met Draco or (F/N) maybe you wouldn't have gotten a taste of independent happiness. Betrayal wasn't really a fear but it was everything you were feeling right now, or maybe that was heartbreak. You felt like a cornered animal right now, and maybe that's what he saw you as. Just a piece of prey-A shiver went up your spine at the thought, but you weren't cold. It must have been the piercing grey gaze of your close companion and love was enough to chase the warmth from your body.
"Draco," You said the control in your voice was uncanny, your wand pointed at him as you tried to take a step back but you were met with a stack of papers, books and assorted magical objects.
Thump
Went a book that dropped from the structure, squarely in front of your feet. You felt a drop of sweat fall to the floor, you swallowed and looked at your hand. It was quivering and you couldn't seem to stop it, like when you stood on your tip-toes while sitting. Your knee would vibrate uncontrollably, it was a nervous habit of yours.
