It's been a week since I stayed the night at the Key residence. With the comment I left her with, it's easy to say I was beyond embarrassed to approach her again.

"Well then you'll never get your cheesy cliche love story"

Who says that?!

But the thing is, I didn't think I'd have to worry about approaching her because usually she approaches me first. But she hasn't. In fact, she hasn't even been in school all week. Though I struggled to admit it over the week, the worry and anxiety only grew within me. But that isn't something I'd ever tell her.

I spent endless nights, on top of our-my building, wandering what is going on with her. Then I finally realised.

It was what I said before I left.

I mean if course it was! She obviously thinks I'm into her now and got weirded out by it so she decided to take a step back. I seemed to forward. It sounded like I was hinting the end of out love story... Not that we have a love story. I mean, sureee, she flirts and makes inappropriate comments, but Léna Key would flirt with a pole. And therefore, that pole has a better chance with her than I ever will.

I shook my head vigorously in attempt to rid myself of my thoughts as I focused on wrapping my hands securely. I stood up from the bench and pulled the mask down over my head just as Noah came in and notified me that I was up next.

"Now, this guy is new so your gonna have to pay extreme attention to his weaknesses and his strong points within the first round. We have no clue what he's like but once you've nailed that down then you'll be fine so don't worry" He said reassuringly, slapping my back as we walked towards the ring. I kept my mouth shut, knowing it was best at this stage to not rebel agaisnr his words. Once the ring was in view, everyone silenced once again and bowes their heads while my name was called. Noah gave me one final slap on the back before shoving towards the ring and walking off.

I climbed through the ropes, nodding at the referee who stood in the middle. He was a small guy with pointed features. One could never guess he reffed illegal boxing matches during his free time though he has been here since I had started and longer. I looked down at him in the beginning but since then my respect for him has grew. Seeing his fairness and bravery to stand up to a guy three times his size in the middle of a match like these really takes guts.

He nodded back to me and grabbed the Mike again before calling out my opponent who was yet to be discovered.

"Tonight we've got a newbie who's decided to challenge Sinister!" He roared into the mic. I jogged lightly on my toes to keep the energy flowing as the 'oohs' circled the crowd at rhe news.

"Let's welcome Thorn to the ring" The crowd once again started to chant the usual ritual to welcome a newbie. Though it wasn't really a welcome. It was more so a mockery, but they never know that.

I looked up and saw a guy climbing through the ropes just opposite me. I studied for afar as he too began to warm up.

A masked covered his face which pulled an instant frown across my features. He was tall and clearly well built but he didn't like too old, perhaps in his twenties just judging by his attitude and body. I wasn't familiar him I don't the think. But I still wasn't nervous. I have bet many men twice his size with ease and I take pride in that. Why should I fear a newbie now?

The ref went over the rules with us for the sake of 'Thorn'. I couldn't say I was paying attention cause I wasn't. I was too busy studying this guy. Already I could tell his dominant leg was his right as he leaned his weight there. There was also a slight bruise on his shoulder as if it was healing but could still be a visible weak point. I turned my attention back to the ref when he told us to shake hands.
