The night was a little chilly with a crisp breeze and my frizzy, red hair was trying to to follow it. I looked up into the pitch, black sky, hoping to find the bright, twinkling stars lighting up the sky. But instead of stars, I only saw smoky, black clouds making the night sky look like my sister's big, disgusting pile of mold. I was hoping that stars would slowly creep out and brighten up my horrible, black night.

I wish someone, someone who really cares would walk up to me, and would ask, in a soothing, calm voice, how was your night. But no, there is no one around to say so. Because I am alone, and I am lost.

I bet you don't even care about how I got lost do you? Well I am going to tell you the whole story anyway. I was slowly scuffing to my friend's giant, sky blue mansion. I was gazing down at my multicolored shoes, which were stained a deep, dark purple from the pomegranate, grape juice that my evil twin brother had spilled on me that night. When I finally scuffed to the narrow street on Cherry Lane, I saw something truly amazing. Something that sucked all of my attention out of me and started chewing it up. Something that I, Veronica Wilson, could not take my tiny, little, beedy eyes off of.
