The Day We Met (Jake Webber x Reader)

Chapter 1: First Impressions

"y/n!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs. I checked my alarm clock to check the time, it was 8 am. I had only an hour to get ready and pack my things before I leave to go to the airport for my flight to LA. I had 2 amazing best friends from here, Sam & Colby. They moved to California 2 years ago, I text Colby every now and then. I told him that I was getting tired of Kansas so him and Sam both decided to let me stay with them in the Trap House until I have money to find my own place.

~at the airport~

"This is it." My mom said. She gave me a big hug and kissed me on the forehead. I felt nervous but excited. I waved bye to my mom and boarded the plane. This could be the start to an amazing life.

~after the flight~

I grabbed my suite case and noticed Colby waiting for me. I ran to him and gave him a big hug. "I missed you, y/n!" Colby said. "I missed you, too!" I replied, smiling. I followed him to his car and put my suite case in the trunk of his car. "I just wanted you to know, we have other roommates so don't be shy. I'm sure they will be excited to see you." Colby said. I felt a little nervous about meeting new people, but I didn't mind it since I had 3 older brothers.
We later arrived at a mansion, me and Colby got out and I grabbed my suite case. We both walked inside, then Colby yelled, "Guys, come down! My old friend from Kansas is here, so come welcome her!" The feeling of nervousness came back. I slightly hid behind Colby. "Hey, I'm Corey. This is my girlfriend, Devyn." "Hi!" Devyn said, smiling and holding out her hand to shake mine. "Hey." I shook her hand and smiled back. "I'm Aaron. It's nice to meet you." A tall, dirty blonde haired guy said, I responded back by slightly waving. "Yo, I'm Jake." said a very good looking guy. "Hi, I'm y/n." I felt even more nervous greeting myself to Jake. "Come on, I'll show you to your room." said Colby. I trailed behind him. He led me to a guest room that was decorated nicely. "I hope you like it." Colby said. "I do." Smiling while looking at the decor. I turned around and noticed that Colby was gone, I guess he had to go somewhere. I then opened my suite case and placed my clothes in a drawer and put my makeup in another drawer.
Afterwards, I went downstairs and noticed that Jake was in a bean bag chair on his phone, Sam was watching a movie on the couch, and Aaron was eating egg whites. I decided to sit beside Jake. He looked at me, confused. "Hey, are you good?" Jake asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. I was just bored so I decided to chill with you guys." I said, smiling. Gosh I don't know why I was acting so normal around him. "Well, how about we get some lunch? I can get to know you better." "That sounds great!" I replied. I grab my purse and phone and follow Jake to his car. He opens the passenger door for me, he was such a gentleman. He turned on the radio and I started singing to my favorite song y/f/s/n. (Your favorite songs name) Jake looked at me and started chuckling. "You have a beautiful voice." Jake said. I smiled, he made me start to blush, I looked out the window, to hide my red cheeks. "Hey, don't be nervous. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable.." "It's fine, I'm just not used to compliments." I replied back. "Oh.. you will get used to it once you're around me." He said smiling at me.
Me and Jake later arrived at Taco Bell. He ordered 2 burritos and I ordered a cheese quesadilla. "So, tell me about yourself." Jake said to me, unwrapping his burrito. Well, I enjoy singing, playing video games, and horror movies. I also love dogs and I am a total foodie." I said while eating some of my quesadilla. "Your turn. Tell me about yourself." I told Jake, I wanted to know about him. He seems interesting. "My name is Jake Webber, I love making YouTube videos, hanging out with my roommates, and I am also a foodie." I loved the sound of his voice, he was so perfect and the thought that he would never love me made me sad, but I accepted it.

~after lunch~

Me and Jake later arrived back at the Trap House. When we entered I first spotted Sam. "y/n!" I heard Sam yell, I ran over to him and we both hugged tightly. "I missed you, Sam!" I said, smiling wide. I never spoke to Sam in 2 years, it was great seeing him again. "I missed you too!" Sam still hugging me. "You guys know each other?" Jake asked. "Oh, yeah. I knew Sam and Colby back in Kansas." I replied back. "Oh, that's cool." I then went back upstairs and got some clothes, then I walked to the bathroom to take a shower.

~short time skip~

After my shower, I went back upstairs and went to bed. I heard a knock at my bedroom door. "It's open." I said. The door opened and it was Jake. "Hey, I wanted to come check on you." "I'm great, thanks for checking in on me." I said while smiling at him. "Okay, well... I'm going back to my room. Night!" Jake said, turning towards the door. "Wait.." I said. "Can you stay?" What did I just do? Not that I minded but I just felt a little comfortable around him. It was weird. "Sure, I don't mind." Jake replied smiling. He jumped in bed with me, shirtless with basketball shorts on. Jake snuggled up to me and I felt a kiss on my shoulder. I then went to sleep.
