Dear Miss Greenbrow,
We are pleased to announce that you have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and WizardryI breathe a sigh of relief as I read the thick parchment. After being expelled from Ilvermorny and rejected by Beauxbatons Institute, I was kind of relying on receiving this letter. A smile finds its way onto my lips.
"Mum! Mumm I got in!" I scream, running through the house to the kitchen.
"Shut up girl!" John, my asshole of a step father shouts at me.
"Oh be quiet ya old prat," I spit at him, my eyes flashing. "What are you doin' awake anyway? Shouldn't you be passed out already?"
He attempts to stand, stumbling over, a furious look on his face.
Before he gets a chance to reply though, my mother skips into the room, flour on her face and an apron around her waist.
"Oh darlin' I'm so proud of you!" She wraps her arms around me in a somesomewhat hesitant hug.
I inwardly sigh, things just havent been the same between us since I got expelled. To be fair I flunked the interview for Beauxbatons on purpose. Who'd wanna go to that school anyway? Yuck."Oh its not that good!" John shouts. "Now shut up so I can watch the game!"
I glare at him feircely, my lips pulled into a snarl.
"Be careful Johnathan or I might-" a simple glance from my mother cuts me off. I clear my throat and smile fakely, storming into my room, slamming the door behind me.
*Time Skip*
I skip onto the Hogwarts Express after hugging my mother goodbye. John simply huffed at me, a glare upon his face.
Being on the train so late, theres barely any seats left. I find a mostly empty carraige, with only a redhead boy with a pair of glasses on his nose.
I knock on the door, drawing his attention to me."Hello," I mutter. "Do you mind if I sit here?"
He hitches a breathe deep into his lungs.
"N-no. Not at all, take a seat." He gestures to the seat across from him. I take a seat, quite awkwardly.
"I'm Percy, Percy Weasley."
I smile at him, shaking his outstretched hand. "Trinity."
"What year are you in Trinity?"
He seems a bit uptight, but otherwise harmless.
"Third year," I say politely.
"Oh," he scrunches his nose up in confusion. "I've never seen you before."
"I'm sort of a transfer student," I lie to him.
"Well Trinity, welcome to Hogwarts."
After talking to Percy for the next hour or so I learn that he actually has 5 brothers and one sister, him being the third oldest.
I hear a large amount of yelling outside of the carraige, and three boys run in.
Two of them looked identicle, with ginger hair just like Percy's, the other with dark skin and dreadlocks.
"Whats goin on Percy?" One of the twins asks.
"Yeah why do you get to sit with a pretty girl?" The other one questions.
He turns to me, stretching out his hand. "I'm Fred-"
"And I'm George!"
"And I'm Lee, their friend."
I giggle slightly at the three of them. "I'm Trinity."
"You a first year?" Fred asks.
"No, I'm a transfer student."
George grins at me. "Transfer Trinity!"
The three of them started chanting 'Transfer Trinity,' hopping around the carraige.
"Okay okay now be quiet! Im trying to read!" Percy exclaims.---
I get on the boats with the First Years to get sorted into my house. I sit with 3 qurky 11 year olds named Neville, Seamus and Dean.
We follow the half giant into the large enterence hall, where we meet a woman in green robes. Proffesseor McGonagal I'd assume.
She does her little speech on all the houses before walking in a giant door.
"So its true then?" I hear a voice drawl. "What they were saying on the trian, Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts."
The crowd breaks into a series of whispers. I of course know who Harry Potter is, but I'm not going to gawk at him because hes famous.
I look at who the voice is coming from. A blond boy, quite small with a rainstorm in his silver grey eyes. His eyes hold so much pain and sadness, it almost physically hurts me. This poor boy has had a really shitty life.
"This is Crabbe, and thats Goyle. And I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy."
The redhead boy, who I assume is related to Fred, George and Percy, snorts in laughter.
The sad boy, Draco, looks at him in disgust. "You think my names funny do you? No need to ask yours. Red hair and hand me down robes! You must be a Weasley!"
The boy looks down, his neck and ears burning red.
"You'll find some wizarding families are better then others. You don't want to become friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there." He puts his hand out for Potter to shake.
"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself thanks." Potter answers back.
McGonagal comes back and taps Malfoy on the shoulder with a stern look. "Their ready for you now."
I follow the other students into the main hall, my dismal 5 foot figure making me fit in with all the first years.
I stand picking at my nails waiting for my name to be called. I of course was last, after Blaise Zabini.
"We have a transfer student this year, in her third year. Trinity Greenbrow."
I walk up, flicking my dirty blind locks behind my shoulder. I sit on the rickidy old stool, placing on the raggy old hat.
"Ahh a Greenbrow! I've sorted one of you before. He was brave, like you. And ambitious too. Not to mention intelligent and loyal. Where to put you? Hmmm I think... SLYTHERIN!"
The green and silver house clap as I make my way over to the table. Fred, George and Percy sit with their mouths agap. I try to give them a reasuring smile before sitting at the end table.
