A wedding between lovers has the feeling of tremendous excitement, happiness, and, finally, the most beautiful moments of their lives. However, this would never be the case for me. This was supposed to be a special day, yet I'm still not sure my words can describe the emotions I've been feeling. A wedding was supposed to be the most blissful day of a woman's life. Sadly, it is the most tormenting moment for me.
The venue is a historical courtyard covered in ivy. It was the perfect location for the kind of wedding somebody can wish for—natural, relaxed yet elegant and dreamy.
"Don't ruin your dress with your tears," Mom told me as she wiped the tears from my face

He bowed to them before answering

*sigh* Poor Bella, she needs to suffer because of that so-called bond between families

The butler made a 90-degree bow and then went outside
I was simply eavesdropping on them while trying my best not to get caught
"Mia! How on earth did you raise that child?! Katulad lang siya ng kanyang Inang Hampaslupa! walang utang na loob."
"Ma be considerate. nawalan siya ng magulang sa murang edad baka nabigla lang siya nung malaman niyang ipapakakasal natin siya sa hindi niya kilala.Let Leon search for her. For now, we should do plan B" -Mom said calmly
My forehead creased upon hearing Mom. Plan B?
I was taken aback when someone whispered near my left ear
"Eavesdropping is not a good idea, miss."the cold voice sent a shiver down my spine
"Ssshhhhh...my grandma is angry so better shut your mouth!Baka idamay pa niya ako sa galit niya."I whispered
Nagulat na lang ako ng lumutang ako sa ere. Binuhat ako nung gago na parang isang sako ng patatas at pumasok sa silid kung saan sila grandma. I'm doomed!!!(T＿T)
"Sage? What brings you here?" gulat na tanong ni Mom sa lalaking may buhat sa akin
"I apologize for appearing suddenly, Lady Mia, but they sent me here to see if the rumors we had heard were true," he said coldly before putting me down
Tumingin si Mama at Lola Yueya sa gawi ko kaya ako nag-iwas ng tingin
"That's ridiculous! She's here right now. "Mom exclaimed
Nagulat ako sa sinabi niya. She went near me and held my hand while looking at me with a please-cooperate-with-me-look so I gave her a faint smile
"Do you think I'm so easy to be fooled?"he creases his forehead
"We're not fooling you dear. I didn't say which of my granddaughters will marry you. Let me fully introduce your fiancée." Pagkasabi niya nito ay lumapit rin siya sa akin
" Sage meet Briella Alec Mondragon your soon-to-be wife. I hope you'll get along pretty well."" Ani ni Grandma
I looked at her with disbelief
"If that's what you say so. Make sure that you weren't lying to us lady Yueya. You don't like to enraged my grandfather, would you?"Malamig ang tono ng boses nito at walang mababasang emosiyon sa kanyang mukha
"Of course hijo. How dare I"
"I'll be leaving then. Alec, I'll see you on our wedding day then. Have a nice day" pagkasabi niya nun ay umalis na nga siya
Before I talked I made sure that nakaalis na nga siya
"USTED ESTÁ LOCA!No puedo creer que le estés haciendo esto a tu propia hija." I blurted out
"Lo lamento Briella. Ito lang ang naiisip kong paraan."
I smacked my lips as resentment blossomed within me "Kaya niyo ba ako pinauwi dito ng mas maaga?"
"It's the only option we have."
"Dios, odio esta familia."I grunted
Bago pa ako tuluyang magalit ay umalis na ako

A tear escaped from my eye. Why? Why should it be like this?
"Be careful when you're walking down the aisle baka matisod ka. No one wants that to happen " The wedding coordinator reminded
"Briella smile we'll take you in. "
Huminga ako ng malalim at tumingin sa mga mata niya
"I can go on my own."
"Stop being a brat Briella," Dad said as he clung my arm to his arm

Pagkalapit sa altar my dad handed me to the groom and kissed my forehead
"Ingatan mo siya" my dad said
Tinanguan lang siya nito
I was about to walk again when he suddenly whispered
"I'm not a fool. You're her substitute"
I was taken aback but acted as if I never heard anything.
