An Overdue Conversation

I open my eyes to see I'm not where I was before. There's nothing here, I'm in a complete grey void. Nothing to tell me where it starts or where it ends. My body is floating in air, completely limp. How did I get here? Am I dead? Did someone or something take my life while I was asleep? Come to think of it, I don't remember much. I don't even remember when I went to sleep. What happened to me?

So many questions and no one to give me answers. I feel something wet roll down my cheek. Are these tears? Am i crying? Is it because of the fear of not knowing or the off chance that I could be spending the rest of my time in complete darkness? Is this hell? Cause I feel like this would be something that I would go through in the nineth circle of hell.

But why would I go to the nineth layer of hell? Is this a mistake? Can I speak to a manager in hell? Are there even managers in hell? Wait, why am I thinking about all of this? I don't even know if I'm dead! All of a sudden, It begins to get brighter and I break out of my confusing thought process, but I'm not sure where this light is coming from. I try to look but nothing happens. I can't move? Why can't I move? Am I chained down to something? No, I don't feel anything holding me. So what is this?

"Hey.... Can you hear me?" The light spoke to me. That voice..... It's sounds familiar, but it can't be, there's no way that light could be "him"....or could it? "Father?" I paused, "Is that you?" My body begins to move and now I'm just staring into what could possibly be my father.

"Hello Abel. It's good to see you." I can't believe it. That shining light is my father's aura speaking from something like an astral form. I tried to move, but of course, I still can't move my limbs and it made me feel like I was bucking while being chained down. "How is this possible? Where am I? Am I dead? Did something happen to me? What's going on?!", I questioned.

He smiles at me and then begins to slowly walk towards me. "No Abel, you are not dead. You are very much alive. I actually created this void and summoned you so we can talk before you wake up." He says looking at me. "You have been sleeping away for a while now, and the world needs you to save it from total damnation. I wish I could've told you when you were younger, but your mother wanted you and your sister to know nothing about your other life."

Total Damnation? Other life? This can't be real. On top of that, not to mention, I've been away for too long? What is really going on? "How long have I been sleep?" I asked, not knowing what else to say. "You have been asleep for 12 years. Do you have any remembrance of what happen to you? Or where He exactly took you?"

First off, who the fuck is He? secondly, 12 years?! How in the bloody hell have i been sleep for 12 years??? This has to be some kind of mistake. i look up at dad and ask him the one thing that i've been dreading, "Do you know where mum is? what about Abigail? are they still alive?"  he begins moving closer to me and places a hand on my shoulder. " Your sister is fine, however your mother on the other hand is missing." as he said it, whatever it was that had me immobilized released me. 

"Now with that being said, its time for you to wake up. once you are awake, you'll need to escape your prison cell from the netherworld, find your sister, and track down your mother. I'll try to help guide you if possible. my mana is running low so i have to go now. once i leave you'll wake up, however it isn't gonna be a cake walk. You'll need to find Liona and once you do, she'll lead you to the nearest portal to get back to the earth realm. I cant explain why she is here but once you find her, she can tell you better then i can." Liona is here? Honestly that's probably the best news i can get out of this. Dad starts to fade away but i see his face clear as day before he leaves. "i believe in you Abel, the fate of the earth depends on you. I love you son." And with those last words, he leaves me in an empty void that starts to fade. "Alright dad, I wont let you down." I say, hoping he heard me. Everything around me is fading away as if it was dust blowing in the wind. 

And then, just like my father said, i woke up to notice that I was in the deep depths of the Netherlands. Well, I guess this is how the journey starts. First things first, I need to go find Liona.
