While Merlin was gone I mostly was locked up in my room. I took it as my grieving time. After our first kiss I did my best to smile and be happy. I didn't want Merlin to worry about me. Now that he wasn't here I could finally rest and think about my grandma. I haven't put much attention to anything and I plan to keep it that way for a while.
I sat down on my bed and opened a small wooden box. It was one of the few things that I had taken with me before leaving to live with my father. I smiled as I took out the silver locket. It was the only thing my grandma owned of value and she had given it to me. It was a small silver heart, and when you opened it, it had a miniature painting of my mother and my uncle. I loved staring at their smiling faces. I wonder how it would've been to meet them. To have mom and an uncle. I frowned. I wish I could have met them. They look so happy. I remember how I use to dream of meeting my mom, that she wasn't dead. That somehow they were alive, and my father and uncle were both knights. They would come ridding, in their shinning armor with my mom. They would take my grandmother, and I to a better place. A place where we could be a family. Obviously that never happened. My mom and uncle are dead. My father is a king, and I have a prince brother. My grandmother died. And now I'm living in Camelot for my own safety. Life makes no sense sometimes. I curled up in a ball and yawned. I'm tired. Meh I should sleep. I woke the next day, feeling very lazy. I yawned and stretched before taking an extremely long bath. By the time I had gotten out the water was freezing. The clean water clearing my mind. I put on the silky blue dress my father had given me. Feeling better I quietly made my way to the kitchen. in the kitchen everyone was was working away getting dinner ready.
"Excuse me." I whispered to one of the maids
"Yes madam?"
"I was wondering if I could get something to eat. If it's not to much of a bother."
"Of course not. Here" she handed me a ready plate "Would you like to take this in your room?"
"Yes thank you."
I took the plate and walked back to my room and sat criss-cross apple sauce on my bed. I smiled at the small chocolate left on my plate and popped it in my mouth. I stood up and looked out the window. I wonder when Merlin will be back...maybe I should ask Gaius...
I walked over to his chambers. Talking in the moonlight that lightened the hallway. Out of now where the bells began to ring. Fear struck my body. something was wrong. I found myself running to find Gaius. He would know what was happening. It was dark and I nearly tripped twice. My heart was pounding as I knocked on the wooden doors.
"Gaius!!!"
The door opened "My lady. Please come in. What is the problem?"
"Gaius, what's going on? I heard the bells...is something wrong?"
"Please take a seat my lady."
I nodded and sat in front of him "Gaius what's going on?"
"It's about Merlin and the King." Gaius began. My eyes widened and I felt a strange but powerful mixture of anger and worry fill my body as I listened to his explanation.
I stood up "That little ugh! I can't believe she would be tray us like this! "
"Calm down m'lady"
I stopped in my tracks "W-where is Merlin?"
"We do not know. Both Merlin and Arthur have gone missing. We can only hope for the best."
I fell to my seat "Gaius...w-what if they don't come back?"
"They will, we must believe."
