chapter 5: goodbye forever

[ Pete POV ]

I woke up next to my lover, Karen. I will miss this, so much. " I love you so much, Karen, just know that" I whispered to her, she was just waking up. She hugged me tighter, sobbing again. "I know I just met you a few days ago but, you'll find something better. You can have Old Spice too" I sighed, wishing I didn't have to go.

It had to be done, I already heard the human steps arriving. I felt so bad as soon as I saw Karen's face, laced with fear and sadness. I kissed her. I really did. "Remember me when I'm gone" I said before the door opened, showing the humans face. I didn't cry, I had to be strong for my baby. I was picked up and squished for the last time, my sight going dark. The last thing I saw was Karen crying and then my vision went black and I couldn't hear anything. 

{ Karen POV }

He left, he left me all alone. I started breaking down, I couldn't deal with that. He was the only one that truly loved me and I loved him with all my heart. I felt so numb, so useless. I guess this is it. I went to the soap party to tell all of them. Old Spice rushed to my side as I started sobbing. Everyone else started to either sob or quietly cry. Even the male soap. "I can't do this anymore, it hurts so bad not being with him" I was shushed gently by Spice. He held me tight as I quietly calmed down. "It'll be okay, dont think this will go on. The human will have to buy new toothpaste" He said. That made me think. "So another toothpaste will come along and help me?" I asked, looking in his eyes. 

"He will help you and I will too, don't worry, you'll be just fine"

"Thank you so much, I love you" I said.
