FINALLY!
We have finally arrived in America Ohio, and I have to say this airport is nice.
Not.
There's mess everywhere! I can see so much food and paper and things just lying there! Ugh~ it makes me shudder... Yeah I am one of those "Clean freaks" So what?!
"Em, sweetie, could you please stop glaring at everything? We need to get through security." My Mum said calmly. I don't know how she's so calm. It's been roughly 18 to 20 hours on an airplane to get here.
HOW IS SHE CALM?!
"Mum~" I whined, too tired to actually say anything else, she just gave me an empathetic look and put her arm around my shoulders while I rested my head in the crook of her neck, hugging her, Mum hugged me back mumbling encouraging things to me like ‘It's going to be great bub’ and ‘I'm sure you'll love it here’ but even I could hear the slight tremble in her voice.
She didn't want to be here either.
I sighed and let her go; she took in a sharp breath and let it out slowly, smiling at me “we’re gonna be fine bub, I promise” She whispered, sighing again we started to walk out of the airport, caught a cab and headed to our new home in Ohio.
Ohio is a bit, no, a lot colder than Australia ‘sigh’ I miss the heat, the waves, the parties, the barbeques, my friends…
It’s only been a couple of days since I last saw them, they were crying or being overly dramatic about my departure but it was a good laugh, seeing Dazza making jokes about our ‘relationship’ being for forever and Hope crying her eyes’ out but the best part was when my best friend, gave me a hug good-bye and told me ‘Be strong you bogan’ I laughed so bad at that, I could feel a small smile form on my face at that, but was soon replaced by a frown as I thought of the first day of school in two days…
‘Well, I sure as hell hope their ready for this, because I’m bringing hell with me’
That was to days ago, and standing out front of this school, I can only say that it’s quiet the stereotypical school we all thought it’d be back home, cliché groups from cheerleaders and jocks to nerds and loners, ‘Shit, I gotta get some photos of this to send to everyone back home.’
I was walking in the front gates in my faded, sort of, ripped skinny jeans, my Yin Yang white tank top, and aviators as well as my thongs. I walked up to a guy who looked more on the nerdy side, he was skinny, dressed in baggy clothes and big, black framed glasses I was standing in front of him when he turned and almost ran into me “Whoa, easy there dude, hey can you point me to the office so I can get my stuff?” I asked all at once, while he looked like he was going to faint, I was slightly worried “Hey, you okay?” I asked as I put my hand on his forehead, he just slightly nodded, gulped then said in a very small voice, “Um, i-it’s this way…” He then started to direct me down the hall, turn right then turned left and we arrived at the office doors, “Thanks mate, hey what’s your name?” I asked as an afterthought, “It’s D-David, and no problem” He gave me a small smile while I just grinned and waved as he left back down the hall, I entered into the office and stopped when I caught sight of a couple making out in the middle of the office, grimacing I tried to pass them, but that wasn’t gonna happen, I sighed, “Guys, this is an office, not a make out theatre” I said in a bit of agitation, it was only after they parted from face-sucking that they finally realised there was someone watching, the girl just smiled smugly while the guy kind of looked proud, I, again, sighed at them and pulled them apart, that’s right, this surfer is strong, and watched them gape at me while I just walked through them and asked the office lady If I could have my things since I’m new, she also swooned saying “I love your accent” I just smiled at her and left the way I came without the couple who were previously making out in the office, walking to my “locker” jeez, in Australia we just carry our shit around in a bag, don’t have lockers to keep our things in, lucky bastards. After all that ranting in my mind I, again ran into David, I smiled at him and he just smiled back, I walked up to him shouting “Hey David!” He squealed a little, it was kinda cute, I chuckled at his flustered self, when I remembered he didn’t know my name “David, holy shit, I forgot you don’t know my name, well my names Emily” I smiled huge and asked him to tell me about this timetable thing, he just laughed at me.
“Hey, can I ask you something?” David asked cutely, I almost cooed at him but nodded with a smile, he blushed a little “Where are you from? I mean- you h-have an a-accent a-and-“
I cut him off there “It’s okay Dave, I am from Australia.” I grinned huge, he seemed stumped that I’m from Australia, why..?
“Hey! Why’d you call me Dave?” He again seemed flustered by the discovery I giggled “Because that’s what we do in Australia, we give each other nicknames dude” I continued to giggle at him, as he had a contemplating look on his face “Then, I’ll call you Em!” He sounded like he made something marvellous, my giggles just got louder as I nodded, “Okay, Dave lead the way.” And away we went to class.
(~~~~~~~_~~~~~~~)
I should have known this would happen…
The two people who were making out are in my first class, and are glaring their asses off at me. Like seriously? All I did was stop them for like five seconds.
Geez people can’t take anything here can they?
Sigh
I miss home, I miss Queensland, where the bitches weren’t like this, they’d actually say to your face if they were pissed off, not glare all day geez.
Still doesn’t mean I’m not bringing hell.
