CHAPTER 11: Story to Tell

TAE's POV

While on our way, I did not take off my eyes on her. She is so weak, she cannot even move her fingers well to answer her phone. I answered the call for her and it was her mom who is on the other line. I told her mom that we are on our way and she has nothing to worry about.
Jisoo is asleep when we arrived at their house. I did not wake her up and I carried her on the way to her room. The doctor entered her room with her mom and had a check on her.

"Thank you for bringing her home Tae." Mommy Kim said.
"No problem Tita!" I replied.
"I really thought she already recovered" she said while watching her daughter lying in bed.
"She's trying her best Tita."
"I know. And everytime she tried, she always end up like this. As her mother, it breaks my heart seeing her being so helpless. I want her to get out from that dark past. I'm trying to push her to do the things I know she wanted to. But --- I guess it's too much for her."
"I know its hard for your family to see her like this Tita. I know she can overcome everything, but it will take time"
"You're right. It's time for me to go easy on her. --- By the way, Jin told me that you did not know Jisoo's accident 8 years ago, so how come you understand everything that's happening now?"
"Cause I'm also like her ... trying to forget everything that happened in the past."
"I'm sorry if I'll ask this but is this about your mother's death?"
"Yes Tita. I'm trying to force myself to forget everything that happened that day, I even tried bumping our car for more than 10 times and incurred head injuries because of it. Everyone said I'm out of my mind, but who are they to tell me that?they never felt the pain I carried for 6 years. ----"
"I'm sorry to hear that Tae"
"It's nothing Tita. I can say I feel better now because BTS came to my life. It all changed when we formed BTS."
"*sighs. We all have a story to tell behind what we are right now. I hope Jisoo can vocally share what happened to her without hesitations and pain ---- someday, just like you. But, as you have said, it will take time."
"Let's just wait for her Tita. I have a feeling that she's getting there"
"Thank you so much for believing in her and for being there for her. I just feel disappointed because as her mother I never listened to her. Now, I'm glad that you came to our lives cause she has someone out there who is trying to help her."
"It's nothing to me Tita. I just want to see her smiling at us, laughing with her friends and enjoying everything she loves to do, without any pain on her heart. Tita, she is so special to me right now, I want to protect her all the time."
"*smiled. That's so sweet of you Tae. Thank you for that. But, I'll leave everything about you to Jisoo, okay?"
"Thank you Tita!"
"You're welcome."

JISOO's POV
I woke up from a very deep sleep, I think. I saw my Mom cleaning my table and I saw Tae standing in front of my windows.
"M-m-mom?" I called
"How are you feeling?" she asked softly.
"I'm feeling better."
"I'm sorry." she said and I saw the the tears falling from her eyes.
"Mom? You don't have to. I am the one who forced everything to be okay, and I thank you for being so supportive."
"But, I went too much. I enrolled you at HIU without a prior consultation from you. I pushed you to wear the clothes you're not comfortable with. I told you to be with Jennie so that she can help you clearing your name. I --"
"Mom? You never forced me to do all that. You're helping me --- you helped me to enter in my dream school, you helped me to wear the clothes I wanted to wear ever since, you helped me to be with the people I love being with and now you are helping me achieving my dreams. I cannot imagine myself without Jin, Dad and especially without you Mom", I hugged her tightly and added "I'm sorry for acting like I hate everything you did to me."
"Shhhhh! don't say that. I love you!" she said.
"I love you too Mom!" I replied.

My Mom left my room and I am alone with Tae.
"Thank you!" I said to him.
"For what? For be---" Tae replied
"For everything." I interrupted.
"So, how are you feeling now?" he asked.
"I feel better. It's been a long time since I'm being honest with my Mom"
"You know what? Sometimes, you just have to say it. Say what you're feeling deep inside and everything will follow."
"Right. So, what are you doing here?" I asked
"Woww! I can say you're feeling better right now cause you're changing topics so fast."
"Well, since I am curious why you are here, I have to asked it as what you've said"
"Woaah! *smiled, you caught me there"
"So? Why?"
"*sighs. Okay. Everyone is asking me if you're okay, so to shut them up, I came here to check on you."
"Well, you already know that I'm okay, so why are you still here?"
"You don't want me to be here?"
"Stop doing that reverse psychology, it doesn't work on me"
"No, I'm not doing a reverse psychology by answering your question into another question."
"So? what do you call that?" I asked him curiously. He walked towards me and put his face in front of mine with only few inches apart.
"You don't want me to be with you?" he asked. My words were remained in my throat. He leaned forward and whisper to my ear  "I'm not doing a reverse psychology, I am asking you a serious question that I won't ask again.
"Huh? I don't get it." I replied.
"You really don't want me to love you?" he asked.
