Its finally here!
Ally squealed internally as she hopped up and out of bed, running into her closet and grabbing her bags that were already packed with everything she needed, including some cash to live off of for a while.
My eighteenth birthday!
She threw on a black, flowing mid-thigh length dress before pulling down her ponytail and running a brush through her long, blonde hair. One look at herself in the mirror, she nods her head in approval and slips on her black flats.
"Looking as good as always, Ally." She chirps out happily, nodding again.
"Ally! Breakfast is ready!" Her mother yells up and she groans to herself, dropping her bags and walking downstairs, all the while dragging her bags. "I'm not eating." Ally states flatly.
"Yes you are, you'll sit at that table and eat your breakfast your mother worked hard on." Her father - the total deadbeat - prodded in.
"No. Fuck you both, you aren't parents, you're like prison wardens!" Ally snapped, and she swore she could see a hint of surprise on their faces before she turned and marched up the stairs, grabbing her bags and ignoring the yelling once she came back down.
All she did was go for the door when she felt a large hand on her arm, causing her to turn fully to face that deadbeat, abusive father and see the rage in his eyes.
"You will stay here, Alleaii!" She cringes at her name being said, but not the roaring.
Her knee came up and she grinned right before it made contact with his crotch, hard. Watching her father double in pain had to be the best thing she'd seen in her life, making her laugh and turn back, opening the door and walking out.
Immediately, she felt better. Ah, fresh air!
She checked her wristwatch and as soon as she did, she heard a horn and looked up to see her best friend Alex sitting in his car.
"Hey! You came!" Ally squeals and runs up to his car, throwing her bags in his back seat and hopping in beside him, giving him a biiiig hug.
"Of course I did, love! I wouldn't leave you all alone on your birthday!"
"Ooh, but its much more." Ally murmured as they began to drive off to Alex's house, laying a hand out the window.
"I'm free!" She laughs happily and he laughs with her.
That whole 30-40 minute drive passed by quickly with giggle-fits, music singing, and new gossip.
