Lucy didn't understand why Natsu felt she should leave him alone, she thought about asking Happy but felt it was to soon to pry into peoples secrets considering she only recently joined...literally and hour ago.

She went around the room speaking to each person getting to know names and who would make good people to spend time with, Happy followed her around the room giving her tips and info about the people she spoke to once she finished she made a mental list of people who she believes would be a good first step.

All I met so far anyone else might be on missions or just away from the guild. 'sigh' Natsu I'm not going to give up on you either, I will find out why your the way you are...... "Happy" I felt movement on my head "Yeah Lushy?" 'Lushy? Really! "whats wrong with Natsu?" i didn't bother mentioning the nickname just yet.

"Natsu he is.......lost I think" Wait happy didn't even know what's up with him? this made Lucy even more confused "What you mean by lost Happy?" Happy looked uncomfortable but I wanted to know, Natsu made my dream into a reality so i wanted to help him more than anything. "Why not ask him?" Happy brought me out of my thoughts 'ask him' I wish it was that easy, " I tried Happy but he simply said I shouldn't spend time around him..." Happy flew of my head and landed on the table next to me "Yeah he says that to everyone" I heard a mans voice behind me. Gray?

"Everyone in the guild has tried to get Natsu to open up to them" Gray began to explain the situation to me, it was painful to hear. "Ever since he joined he stayed quiet and rarely did any missions, not much is known about him.....one thing i do know that is that he is crazy strong" Lucy looked over to Natsu who sat back against his chair sleeping "I'm going to help him" Lucy said mostly to herself, Lucy was determined. Gray however was surprised the new girl really wanted to help him? damn he thought "you know what, I'm in...ill help you guys aswell"

Gray? he is something else isn't he

Lucy thought as she walked over to the sulking pinky, "Natsu?" Lucy quietly said , hes a heavy sleeping "Natsu wake up" she said slightly louder, Gray watched from the distance he swears a tick mark appeared on Lucy's head "NATSU WAKE UP!" she shouted as Natsu shot up smacking his head on a beam 'ow' was all Natsu could say, he looked at Lucy and her 'innocent' smile "I told you to leave me alone Luce" Luce? Natsu and Lucy both slightly blushed at his nickname for her. Lucy decided to break the silence "Natsu, I don't care you brought me to the guild which makes you my first and best friend" Sorry Levy Lucy thought to herself. Natsu looked at her with surprise pratically written across his face.

Lucy sat opposite Natsu at the table, both silent for different yet similar reasons, Natsu didn't know how to interact with people especially in a one on one conversation and Lucy could normally read people pretty well but she got nothing from Natsu, she had no idea how to approach him.....BAM both jumped in surprise as a little blue blob landed on the table 'Happy!' they both thought "Natsuuuuuu Gray is being meannnnnnnn" Happy cried out, in an instant both Lucy and Natsu glared at Gray who hid because of the pressure their joined glare had.

"Natsu" Lucy began "please talk to me, I don't want to lose you" if Natsu had a heartbeat I'm sure it would of skipped at her words, was it time? Natsu thought to himself, maybe its time to tell someone?  he looked at Lucy, her posture was confident but her eyes showed worry...."Luce" Natsu placed his hand on hers squeezing it gently "if you want to know, meet me by the cheery tree at midnight..." before Lucy could reply Natsu stood up and ran out the door.

Gray walked over to the table to find a smiling Lucy and a very surprised Happy "how did it go?" Gray asked, Happy remained stunned so Lucy replied "I think I made progress Gray, wants me to meet him tonight" Gray now shocked just like happy was barley able to form a sentence "Tonight....Me......With......" Lucy giggled at Gray and he snapped back to reality "errm sorry was shocked haha, so you want me to come with you....?" Lucy shook her head "I'm sorry Gray but I think Natsu might want to say it alone with just me" she looked down "and maybe Happy" Gray understood and nodded in agreement and walked of back to mingle with everyone else.

Tonight? Lucy Thought, its going to be interesting I think.....

The day passed by pretty quickly after that Lucy mingled a bit more and sat down in the libary to read a few books that caught her eye, Happy remained with her for the whole day. Lucy did find it a bit weird that he wouldn't leave her side to go find Natsu but she didn't let the thought get to her: Seconds turned to minutes and minutes turned to hours and before Lucy knew it, it was time to head home. Lucy was renting an apartment just down the road from the guild it was small but she loved it there, a private space all to herself and I guess a little blue feline she thought giggling.

10 minutes....10 minutes till midnight Lucy thought, Natsu wasn't there yet she hoped he didn't stand her up.....like a date?.... she blushed "no, no, no its not like that" she said to herself "what isnt?" she snapped her head around to find Natsu stand behind her with a small smile on his face." I honestly didn't think you was going to show Luce...." he trailed of "I thought the same about you...." She replied trying to fight the blush. "so.....what did you want to tell me?" Natsu looked afraid, 'Damn' she thought this is a big deal for him isn't it? "Luce....im not human...." WHAY lucy shouted mentally. "What do you mean , not human?" Natsu was surprised, she didn't show any fear still, just worry, like before "Technically.......im not even alive" That was it for Lucy it felt like someone was squeezing her heart making her chest tight. 

Natsu saw the confusion on her face so he reached our gesturing for her hand, she placed her hand in his and he brought her hand up to his chest, at first Lucy didn't realise anything weird. Nothing actually.........nothing?! She couldn't feel a heartbeat, her eyes grew wide and stared at him no words could come out of her mouth then she saw something, his eyes began to turn red and through his smile he could see two sharp teeth in his mouth "luce........
