Sara - a golden-haired, seventeen year old girl. Confident, self-assured and persuasive, she always gets the boys. But despite her appearance, is the smartest of the three. She can complete extremely difficult math sums quickly.

Mellie - a deep brunette, youngest of the girls at sixteen. Frightened of the dark, spiders and the thought that she might lose her friends. She has a photographic memory, and can tell every single detail of anything she sees.

Becca - a light brunette, oldest of the girls at a few months to becoming eighteen. Scared of nothing except breaking up with her friends. She understands more than she lets on and is completely level-headed.

At the end of their final high school year, Year 12 - Sixth Form - an argument brews between the girls. Things go missing from each of the girls' rooms in the flat they share and is replaced with a warning that when put together, makes a curse. When the girls ignore it, more things disappear. Blaming each other, they spend time apart, but getting back together goes disastrously, with all the mixed feelings hanging in the air, and they split up to go their separate ways.

Twenty years later, Sara is a professional lawyer, who has won nearly all her cases, Mellie is the owner of an incredibly successful company, and Becca is unemployed, desperate for a job and living with her mother.

All three receive text messages from a blocked number, telling them to be at a certain place at a certain time, and there they will find something they have been missing for years. With the stolen items returned, and the group back together, the women are in a race against time to find the culprit. Only what can they do? They have no evidence to suggest anyone. But when an old school friend comes back into their lives, it becomes a more serious and deadly game than anyone could have possibly imagined.
