Edward and Jane walked through the steel door of Joey's and entered the dimly lit establishment. She bounced excitedly, this being her first time here, let alone with a boy. Her head swiveled as she watched the other groups of teens dance and chatter about. She looked back at Edward, his gaze uninterested as he took in his surroundings. She chalked it up to him being a regular, if only she knew the truth. Jane intertwined their hands, a surge of butterflies materializing in her stomach. This was a relatively new thing for their relationship, and every time their flesh touched Jane had the same reaction. Edward looked down to her with a inquisitive brow as she smiled brightly.

"Let's dance Eddie."

She pulled them onto the dancefloor as light voices played from the jukebox in the corner. They stood about a foot apart. Jane smoothed the non-existent creases in her shapeless A-line dress before twisting to the beat. She smiled, her face seemingly glowing in the light of the disco ball. It dulled ever so slightly as she watched Edward stand completely still. Her dancing came to a halt.

"Come on Eddie, dance with me."

"I'm not really feeling it Jane."

"Come on," Jane began moving again, exaggerating her movements so much that she looked absolutely tasteless. "You know you wanna."

Her goofy smile was contagious, and soon Ed found his resolve wearing thin. But before he could begin to dance someone interrupted them.

"He doesn't seem like he's in it babe," Eddie stiffend at the voice. "Want to try me out."

Jane looked to the boy who was just as tall as Eddie, if not an inch taller. He had a lean build, and looked to have just walked out of a catalogue with his fashionable clothing and clean hair cut. Eddie turned around to face him head on.

"She's not interested." He said gruffly, ignoring the anxiousness coursing through him.

The boy cocked his head to look at Jane. "How about it hun? Wanna ditch the loser?"

Jane scoffed, hiding behind Eddie before responding. "Ew, no way. Beat it!"

The boy's lip curled back, before his gaze landed back on Eddie. "Whatever, I didn't want that broad anyways." He stuffed his hands into his jacket pocket, before giving Eddie a knowing smirk and walking into the darkness.

Jane shivered in disgust, but otherwise shook the whole incident off. After another ten minutes of dancing, Eddie wiped the sweat from his brow and leaned down to Jane's level.

"I'm going to head off the john for a minute."

She nodded unsuspectingly before going back to dancing. Eddie walked towards a hallway where a more exclusive part of the club sat. He walked right up to the beaded doorway before being stopped by the security guard. Eddie stared him down, an annoyed expression gracing his features.

"Really, Billy?"

"Rules are rules." The balding man said crossing his arms over his chest.

"I'm here every week. You know me."

"Eddie, I'm not losing my job over this. What's the password?"

"Pass the buck," Eddie sighed with a bored expression.

Billy stepped aside and Eddie entered the even darker room. The music from the outside faded as the stench of musk and cigarettes overpowered his senses. No matter how many times he came here, he wouldn't be able to get over the smell. He waded through the couples on the dance floor dancing closer than those on the outside. Yes, the dancing here was more intimate, more... forbidden. Eddie made his way to the other side of the room where he saw him sitting on the end of a couch, smoking. Eddie stopped in front of him, crossing his arms.
